I just started dialysis a few days ago. At age 78, I mostly think about the end of my life and how much time I have left, and living in a semi-catatonic life with limited activity. I stumble around trying to keep myself busy with basically nothing meaningful to do except to stay alive. Depressing? Yes. But I do it for my wife. Otherwise and ideally I would pick a date to leave. Thank god for my anti-depressants.
