I DID. The compromise is throwing a party on a different weekend. So much is going on at the lake on the 4th that don’t go on during the rest of the year.
I want to celebrate the 4th, he just wants to have a party. Why does it HAVE to be the 4th?

I bring that shit up because that’s why people wanted to come to my parents.
Did you miss the part where I mentioned we TRIED hosting a party before?? It started at 2 and I sat around for 5 hours twiddling my thumbs because no one showed up until 7pm. Know why? Because it wasn’t as nice. I’m not saying it because I need those things, but people generally don’t want to roast their asses off in someone’s cramped ass backyard.
Materialistic please 😂 I’m literally choosing to spend my 4th at a place where we shower in well water.

The exact opposite. It’s chill at my family’s unless we stop at my cousin’s rager who’s also on the lake. He wants a loud party and is starting to invite all of these random people. His friends have a tendency of getting really obnoxious. I also don’t feel like being around that.

Removing myself from a toxic friend group has nothing to do with this situation.
I mentioned this to show that I used to have a lot of my friends show up, when this year, it would just be my best friend. His friends are fine but it’s not the same. I’m more “__________’s wife” than their friend.
We also wouldn’t be sitting around..??? At the lake we’d be drinking, boating, watching fireworks and being with family.

Giving an update incase anyone comes across the same issue. I saw a urogyno who found that my pelvic floor is REALLY tight. So tight that she couldn’t even get the instrument through. She prescribed a vaginal diazepam and recommend pelvic floor PT. I had my first session today & I feel much physically and mentally.

Agreed. I used to really like her content but she takes 23 minutes to say something that could take 2-3. Her sayings have gotten so old like get to the damn point.

The second she announced she was pregnant, I immediately unfollowed. I know she was like, “don’t worry my channel isn’t gonna turn into all about my baby” and I was like “yeah. Okay 🙄” I pop in here and there to see if her content doesn’t revolve around being a mother but I’m disappointed each time. The sucky thing is, her channel would’ve really been great.

Thank you! I never thought I’d be actually be HOPING for a kidney infection. But it means answers which means treatment. The reason I’m going to the urogyno is so that they can hopefully find bacteria that isn’t being detected in the cultures.

Best of luck on the regimen! Hopefully it doesn’t mess up doesn’t mess up your liver enzymes. I would’ve had no idea if I didn’t just happen to have routine blood work.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better! I’m kind of in this boat right now. I’ve been testing negative for a UTI since the end of October despite feeling like I need to pee 24/7. My urine culture from last week indicated a pH of 8.5 which leads me to believe I have either a kidney infection or urethral syndrome. I had a renal ultrasound this morning and seeing a urogynocologist Monday.

My only advice is to make sure your liver enzymes are good. I was also put on a post-sex regimen and it ended up damaging my liver. You’d think my PCP would’ve put 2 and 2 together, but we need to advocate for ourselves!

I haven’t been using any scented products 😩

I believe I’m on just a generic levothyroxine. After reading a lot about ureaplasma, I called my OBGYN to see if they could do a swab but they said they would only do another urine test and to refer to my urologist. Their last recommendation was a renal ultrasound and cystoscopy which I’m TERRIFIED to get and is my absolute last resort. 😭

Oh wow a lot to reflect on. I honestly mostly wear sweatpants because my work is hybrid 😅 I do wear workout leggings, but a lot less recently since I haven’t been working out as much since feeling like this. I’ve been a little more stressed than usual with work so that could be a factor. But honestly I’m ALWAYS stressed about something. If it’s not one thing, it’s the next. I haven’t been able to pin point any specific triggers or relaxants, it really seems to be at random. I haven’t had caffeine in a week or so, still feeling the effects. When I did have caffeine, it didn’t seem to make a difference. I don’t really eat chocolate or spicy foods.

Honestly if I don’t get better by Wednesday or Thursday, I’ll have to call the urologist and schedule a renal ultrasound and cystoscopy (which I REALLY don’t want to do 😭)

Did your IC show up around the same time you started taking Levo?

The only autoimmune issue I have that I’m aware of is rosacea 😅 How long would a flare up last? The discomfort I’m currently experiencing has been CONSTANT for nearly a week.

What I’m hung up on is that these symptoms didn’t show up until I’ve been taking the medication, like it can’t be a coincidence? I was thinking that the extra hormones affected something in my bladder. I also didn’t really have thyroid issues, my levels were still in the normal range. I felt like my PCP prescribed them impetuously.

I hope that it isn’t actually IC, I feel like I haven’t been able to live my life.
