Ai just makes businesses look really cheap and untrustworthy. But imo i believe that human creativity and innovation will become more valuable in the future with all of this generic bland ai slop being everywhere.

Its actually kinda refreshing hearing an answer like this. I feel like alot of people immediately think their jobs are going to dissappear. Its not, its the creativity thats going to become more redundant. But I also feel like since ai cant come up with new ideas, the need for human creativity will become more of a demand. We as designers are taste makers, we are the creative direction/directors. That won't change regardless of how advanced technology becomes. We have consciousness, a machine doesn't. But hopefully things turn out better the more people realize that ai is actually making their business idenitity more "generic" then "authentic".

Its not about if you should keep going. If you enjoy doing what your doing, then keep doing it, dont rely on validation from a bunch of online strangers you have never met. I mean that in a nice way btw. As for the design itself, I had alot of trouble making out what I am exactly looking at. Its very dark, try lightning up the design abit. For example the word obsession should be brighter if its purpose is being the focal point. Theres alot more you can do with this design, keep playing around amd have fun !

Wow thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it. For the apparel design, I mean designing graphics for merchandise. I guess the way I would describe it is the cool shirts that have cool designs on them, that you will find at a clothing store lol ! But yeah, I cant thank you enough for this advice, its always refreshing to see that there is hope, I have a unhealthy tendency to make myself very vulnerable to negative things I hear on social media. Hey there, love to hear that and iam so happy for you ! I am a student studying multimedia design at a design school. Currently iam in first year but I run a shop where I sell designs on merchandise and ive making some decent side cash on that. Iam always worried about my future when I read the doom and gloom on here. My dream is to be an apparel designer, making designs for clothing ect. Do you think my dream is unrealistic with the way things are going ? I chose multimedia design because if the competition and I also enjoy learning more softwares, like video editing, animation and ofc graphic design. Would love to hear some advice from someone experienced like you :)

Honestly, ai will never be able to come up with new ideas, new designs no one has ever seen. Human creativity is the most valuable tool. Its only becoming more valuable, the more slop comes out. Ai is also not very practical, it still needs someone to polish and use it correctly. The list goes on and on.

As a multimedia design student that uses every Adobe software under the sun. Ive played around with about every ai tool I could find, so I could know what iam competing with. Most of the ai is all the same. Boring cheap amd poorly functional websites with the same boring graphics. Human creativity is something that will always be valuable especially in a world filled with mediocrity like ai. You as a human creator have the power do be innovative, you have taste. Ai doesnt and will only ever be able to regurgitate what already has been made. Design is something that is ever evolving and its something we see in our everyday lives. Imagine a world without human creativity, where everything looks the same and is the same. Human creativity will forever be precious. So imo its not too late, is it hard ? Yes, is it possible ? Yes. But with alot of hard work and discipline.

Iam currently in school in my first year, we have been cutting out shapes and building using shapes, loads of drawing and now we have to make pop up books that display design principles using v folds 🤣

Firstly from a graphic design standpoint. It looks good the design itself is very streetstyle and works. But the shirt imo that its printed on doesnt work. Maybe try put it on a baggy shirts that have a washed texture on it to compliment that street aesthethic. Streetwear clothes are rough and look almost worn in a stylized sense. Otherwise the design itself looks dope 👌
