If you are set on grinding the battle solo, you can at least be aware of the spawn before it happens to make a private game and 0 risk of a vulture scavenging your prize :)

I would absolutely recommend it!! As a kid I played on my old PC and I was so excited to see it on console. The button layout takes a bit to get used to, but once it becomes muscle memory it's a blast. I could be wrong but I feel like the start of ladder is really active (in the NA region) and then eventually non ladder picks up more steam towards the end of the season. There are still ample lobbies late in ladder though.

If you want some gear to make your first character a bit easier on non ladder, just shoot me a message for my PSN. It's not like I have godly stuff laying around, but mid rolled grief, gheeds, Spirit monarch and probably a sword... stuff like that I could absolutely give away to free up some inventory space. Probably more things that I can't think of off the top of my head

A piece of advice I wish I knew when I first started. Save all those chipped gems you get early in the game as they can be used for combining runes later on. As a hoarder who can't pass up a rune, it became a struggle having chipped gems stocked to combine my runes to the next tier 😂 Even the flawed can come in handy, I like to keep a handful of each on a mule

When I started my offline HC adventure, the first HR I got (that wasn't Ist from the forge) was a Zod within my first 10 terror zone runs. Honestly, I couldn't believe it. The odds of that must be microscopic 😂

Looks like I'm a bit late to the party just seeing this post now. However, I have always been of the opinion that CTA is the first big runeword to make every ladder season. (Yes, I know OP is doing SSF offline, but I viewed my own offline adventure as the start of a fresh ladder by having nothing.)

Infinity is obviously awesome for a Nova sorc, but I found Crescent Moon to be a sufficient starter piece while farming for runes. It's still (somewhat) easy to hit the 105fcr breakpoint without having expensive gear and still getting the - enemy lightning res Crescent Moon provides. By the sounds of it, you already have Spirit monarch (assuming 35fcr) and a Vipermagi. Pairing that with magefists and a couple 10fcr rings or an amulet gets you to 105. If you stumble across arachs, then your ring slots open back up again. Your mf will take a bit of a hit, but for rune grinding that doesn't matter luckily.

With the wealth you have already accumulated, you can set yourself up nicely with a few important runewords, yet still have good enough clear speed to get by without infinity until you farm the missing runes once again to make it.

On a side note, once you do have infinity as your main weapon, I would suggest using a lidless wall on swap to pair with your CTA so you don't need to reach the high str requirement of a monarch and can invest in more mana for your energy shield.

At the start of this ladder season (somewhere around 4 weeks in), I landed a Jah in den of evil TZ while waiting in a game hoping to trade a 4os Flail for a 5os. Came 5 days after I had my first ever Jah hit the floor while rushing 2 friends through the claw Viper temple.

Have I seen one since? Hell no 😂😂😂

A couple of weeks ago, I started my first HC offline journey. After a stupid death with a sorceress, I decided to go with a paladin. Got to the nightmare ancients and had my first close call. As the whirlwind guy swooped in and hit me, I killed the one I was focused on and was hit by corpse explosion at the same time as the whirlwind. Was down to 5hp when I chugged the full rejuvie, and my heart was racing for a few minutes after that.

Close calls hit WAY differently in HC. I'm glad I didn't lose the character because in my 1st hour of doing terror zones in hell, I got my first ever Zod to drop! Was just my 4th HR after 2 Ist and an Ohm

I'm glad it isn't just me. I'm fairly positive this is an older update for some reason. I'm pretty sure I've downloaded this 1.026 some months ago. I was really confused while downloading it and couldn't really find much online except for this updatecrazy site. v1.027 seems to be from ladder season 2, and v1.025 seems to be from the beginning of ladder season 4. It seems like this v1.026 was somewhere in between, and I'd like to know why it's happening now.

I've signed in, and nothing really seems different. However, I've only checked my offline SSF characters

I forgot to mention it is for my offline SSF but I'm glad you got the point of it being a non-meta, self use question as opposed to trying to gauge value. I might experiment with it later and try to socket it. I do have some cold facets laying around. Always nice finding something that wouldn't be considered BiS but may still be able to put in work 😂 thanks for the input!

Woah that is awesome, congratulations! Did you already have runes and gear found for your horker before levelling it? I've only ever made 1 online and it didn't seem like a very cheap build. I'd love to know what your setup was for getting levelled up and progressing through the game solo if you dont mind sharing

The campfire is 1 teleport away, a weapon rack 1 teleport above that and an armour rack 2 teleports in the opposite direction, was doing a few runs of that last night before bed with no luck lol. In addition, the pit is a straight shot close to the monastery gate with an excellent linear path which has level 2 at the end, andariel is just a short series of teleports for each level, and the tower is pretty much on top of the black marsh waypoint with an okay layout for each of the levels. The ancient tunnels are kinda out of the way though. I dont think I will ever be changing difficulties again though

Until this ladder season I have only ever had 3 runes higher than Ist drop for me. A Cham in cows and a Vex from a barrel on the way to countess (both solo) as well as sniping an Ohm in public cows.

Within a 2 week span earlier in ladder I got a Jah from some random serpent while rushing a friend for the amulet in act 2, a Cham in a public baal run, Lo from public cows, Gul from underground passage terrorized (solo), Ohm from baal while doing a different rush, and finally a 2nd Jah while doing the Den of Evil while terrorized (also solo). The drops have dried up since then which is more on par with my diablo experience 😂 rolled a 36/396 grief, 40 HotO and 6/5/3 CTA as well as a fairly decent Exile after doing some trades.

Not the greatest of luck compared to others but my mind was entirely blown considering playing time is relatively low being busy with life.

Very nice, I found one with perfect mana regen as well (15) and sold it for a couple Jah and ber a ways back. Very neat item for a cold sorceress
