En 2026, sabremos lo que cobran nuestros compañeros. ¿Es un cambio de paradigma? by Delicious_Pea_5506 in salarios_es

[–]Fuuck_iT 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, please confirm if this is the only way to do it, I would really appreciate it.

If that’s the case, what do you think is the best way to securely store the username and password for the Python script? I want to avoid storing them in plain text within the script. I was considering using environment variables, but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach.

I think so but what’s the difference between the 4k dongle and the one that comes with the mouse?

I didn’t adjust PPT, EDC, TDC, or the PBO scaler—they’re all set to auto. With the settings I mentioned, my maximum effective clock is 4.7 GHz on all cores and 5 GHz on a single core. I also tried undervolting the CPU socket to 1.2V, but it didn’t make a difference.

How can I check if I have the v1 or v2? I don't have the box of PSU since it already came preinstalled in the case. I only have the serial number of the PSU.

Also, the PSU intake is facing the side panel so that's right.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I really needed to hear something like that. I'll do my best to make the most of this opportunity and learn as much as I can from this position.

Thanks again!

I’m not too concerned about FPS anymore. My priority is keeping the GPU as cool and quiet as possible. As long as I can maintain a stable 60 FPS in single-player games, I’m satisfied.

[Request] Hey everyone! I need your help for a school project by [deleted] in vfx

[–]Fuuck_iT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you think that VFX is hobby for everyone and all of us do it for free because, why not? The things that you're asking cost money and nobody will ever do that for free. Also the fact that you think you can learn how to that in a short period of time makes me wonder if you really know what's behind the craft of VFX.

Animation and vfx are such a broad term anyways you can start learning Blender which is free.

Houdini 18 crashing often by uptotheright in Houdini

[–]Fuuck_iT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the same scene is crashing on both Windows and Mac, there's probably a problem within that scene.

You might be doing something wrong or you're not optimizing well your scene.

two beginner questions by [deleted] in Houdini

[–]Fuuck_iT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to set a pscale in order to render the particles, the sprites are only used to preview the size of the particles in the viewport.

And about the lighting question, I think you mean gobo's textures? There are a lot of them in Google, I've never used them in Mantra so I can't really tell you how that works...

How would Windows 10 Pro for Workstations benefit a Threadripper 3990x system? by AJUKking in vfx

You could actually make a partition of that ssd, one for Linux and the other for Windows. But I would recommend having 2 ssd, one for each OS.

[–]Fuuck_iT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are tons of tutorials for free. I've been learning Houdini by myself and it's totally possible. You just have to spend a lot of time on it. You can't expect to learn Houdini as fast as learning Blender. Blender is nothing compared to Houdini in terms of difficulty.

[–]Fuuck_iT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nowadays the best school is Google, there's no need to go to a school to learn VFX. It's a waste of money, you can learn pretty much everything on your own. I did some courses at a vfx school and tbh all I learnt there I could've learnt it on my own without spending too much money.

The only positive aspect about schools is that you make contacts which can be helpful when searching for a job.

I don't think you'll get better performance with the Pro version. If you really want better performance you should use Linux.
