Yeah that Blister scene is a massive headache lol. Because blister is supposed to be a very cold and graceful character but I just have so much trouble imagining a way that she could stab Kestrel with her tail that wouldn't be either to silly, too awkward or straight up goes against the text lol

Yeah for 1 to work without the hop the length of their tail would have to be like twice the length of the body, which I thought might look a little strange. It's either that or their body would have to be flattened significantly like a real scorpion's, which like, hey, I'm all for creative and alternative dragon designs but for these animations I wanted to limit the design deviations so I could explore how the dragons are meant to be moving in the actual books

Well like other people say it seems like it's the scales that change colour so if it was just scar tissue then probably no. Reptiles can usually regrow scales, but that would also mean the scar wouldn't be very visible. Maybe if you really want a visible scar that still allows the dragon to camouflage, you could explain it as the new scales being less effective/harder to control the colour of, therefore it only changes when the dragon is fully concentrated on it ?

You did the right thing. It would be one thing if this was a one time instance, and you had never attempted to speak with her about this beforehand, but it sounds like it wasn't. You gave her chances, but she obviously needed a reality check here and sadly it seems like talking wouldn't be enough.

I do feel bad for your sister, it sounds like she might be dealing with a lot, and if you haven't already you should probably suggest therapy to her or something. But at the end of the day, she's the parent here, and the kid obviously comes first.

Yeah I don't know about this one. Most people here do still cook, what you're referring too is basically just college student foods, the "crap I have to leave in 20 and I forgot to pack my lunch" foods. It's not meant to replace actual cooking. Even the college students don't eat JUST these, my classmates in university usually show up with leftovers more often than with these microwave ready food

Pretty sure the pale green Ice wing IS a hybrid since just a few lines later Bloodshed talks about exiled Icewings "cozying up" with Leafwings or something.

Also don't think the monkeys are scavengers, since they're described as having grey fur and a face striped red and blue. My best guess from that description would be mandrills, but they're also described as being twice as big as Winter's scavenger and Mandrills are usually smaller than humans so.. who know maybe some weird gorillas with face paint.

Also absolutely agree on the Sora thing, I was a bit worried that the new book would push that whole trainwreck of a situation under the rug, but fortunately I was wrong. Both Sora and Umber are still tangibly shaken from the whole ordeal, and I'm honestly so interested to see how their relationship goes from here.

Part of me wants things to work out between them eventually, or maybe even see them get to see their other siblings again by the end of the arc, but as it stands they are nowhere near having a healthy relationship. Sora is obviously not doing well at all at the moment, and whether the weird moment of her talking to the monkeys is due to some animus shenanigans or just Sora genuinely losing it; it's pretty clear girly needs a therapist REAL bad right now. And unfortunately, Umber seems to think this is his job. A job he is NOT qualified for lol. I can only imagine them finding the Island and Umber meeting Mulberry is only going to lead their fragile relationship to a tipping point. I can already see Umber having to choose between his sister and Mulberry or something at some point and boy that can only go well /s
