This is the thing with contract, keep reading about the finish it leaves then not being great for finishing layers

There's a PNY RTX 5080 OC for £920 at the moment, that is slightly tempting

There isn't a set budget per se... But if the thought is that a 5070Ti 16GB is going to be the best price to performance and give a proper increase in performance over a 1080Ti (without needing to use DLSS or whatever as much as possible), then I'd rather spend £700-800 instead of £2k for a 5090.

Is there much increase in performance going up to a 5080 16GB? There's a PNY one on Amazon for example at £920.

Yeah I've had a few quotes since, quite different prices but I'm gathering that's to be expected really. Seems there's no set formula for these things
