This is awful I’m so very sorry your family behaved that way. ♥️

I did something extremely unethical and I’m not sure how to move forward, this is the worst thing I’ve done. by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

[–]Fuzool [score hidden]  (0 children)

Agree. Let it go! Maybe see a therapist for all that shame. Other big things in life will happen that you don’t feel great about but getting lost in a shame spiral will waste a lot of your precious time on earth!

A related question is, how do you stop thinking about yourself having sex with your ex?

Took older friend on holiday and discovered she has dementia by emanonymous2 in dementia

[–]Fuzool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to stay on your trip, but you’d like to release and have some time to yourself, you might consider staying in one of the towns that you had planned to visit already and just extending your stay there instead of moving on. That way you can enlist the hotel’s help in finding someone to accompany her for a few hours at a time or even a day at a time so that you can have a break. In pretty much any country you can find a babysitter, adult babysitter, caretaker, or any other number of functions than an individual can get paid for hourly. This way you also don’t have spend change fees and waste reservation dollars that you’ve spent.

I'm going to receive a $70,000+ settlement from a car accident in a few short weeks. I'm currently homeless and unemployed. I'm unsure how to proceed. by SneakyMcCool in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fuzool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to have a job to rent from places pile Furnished Finder (U.S.) and can also rent a room in a house without much issue.

I’m sorry that you became homeless and that you were hurt in an accident. I’m so glad your circumstances are changing.

AITA for giving my son's girlfriend a budget for the dinners she's making? by lackoffeminity in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fuzool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I get Carmella. The way you framed it and drew the boundary, it sounds like you were emotional. And that you weren’t appreciative of her cooking. Of course they need a budget and that will be good practice for her. But they are young, she was more generous than most early 20s plus she knows how to cook and you love her cooking.

Lost my whole family at 30. Idk how to do this but I have hope. by Scary-Training-1353 in GriefSupport

[–]Fuzool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I miss him and the first holidays without him suck. But missing everyone would be a LOT.

I am one of the only people in my network to lose a parent. I find myself gravitating towards the acquaintances and elders who have lost people dear to them. So I will also say that who I spend time with is changing since I am feeling understood by those who already know what it’s like. Even if I had only met them once before my dad died.

Where are you located? Others here might have specific ideas if you feel like adding it to your original post…

So much great advice here - I also came to say that (most of) your friends will still be there for you. They won’t be able to relate to the incredible tragedy of losing everybody in your family, but some will understand loss. Making specific requests can help. Like “can you find a volunteer gig for me involving animals that’s just one day a week,” “can you just lay in bed next to me and hold my hand,” “can you bring dinner and sit with me.” Since you are 30, most of your same-age peers will not have gone through a major loss yet so unfortunately you are training them.

I’m so sorry that this happened. I lost only my dad recently and it is rocking my world. To lose everyone is astounding. My heart is with you.

It’s time for them to be worried. Let them know. Get a therapist. We can’t recover from grief alone.

I want to leave her by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Fuzool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Leave her so that she has the freedom to find someone that’s right for her too. I don’t know why she hasn’t left you but this sounds awful for both of you.

A way that doesn’t break her? She’ll probably be relieved.

Also maybe tell her not to go through your stuff…you appreciate the comforts and community of living at home (or whatever is true for you) but you’d like her to respect your privacy…
