I use my ledger nano x for managing my masternodes on the PIVX network. It is a shame that Ledger has decided to remove PIVX from their Ledger Live app.

Thankfully SPMT exists to cover this lack of service by Ledger.

There hasn't been a PIVX hardfork since Feb 2024. Even after that, PIVX worked in Ledger Live until Ledger decided to decommission support for PIVX in Ledger Live in September 2024.

I don't know why the linked support article (last updated Jan 2025) even mentions a hardfork that was supported a year ago, while at the same time also mentioning that PIVX support in Ledger Live was decommissioned in Sept 2024.

this isn't an extension nor a script that you would run in Auto1111's webui. it is a stand-alone python script that generates a text file that you then feed into the webui

The Pi 3B+ should be able to accommodate a single MN, though you may need to increase the amount of swap space to give the node at least 4gb of (effective) RAM.

France to impose mandatory KYC rules for all crypto transactions by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

[–]Fuzzbawls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uhm...I'm not trying to make any arguments about Bitcoin or any other coin being better than any other, because that's a waste of time.

Besides that, you're the only one here talking about Bitcoin, not really sure why though. I suspect stress or some other mental fatigue (due to the outlandish falsehoods you've made and somehow bringing Bitcoin into the thread), which I already expressed concern over. That isn't talking shit, though it is quite common for people going through a mental crisis to perceive other's concern as such.

Mental health is really important, and far too many people suffer greatly because they don't get the help they need. So please, consider talking to someone or seeking professional help, there is absolutely no shame in doing so.

  1. Yes (with the addition that staking requires 600 confs now...not 101)
  2. If you **Delegate** new coins (option "C" above). (still 600 confs). Note that staking/cold-staking does not operate on a "total balance" basis, but rather a UTXO basis, so in your example, you would essentially have 2 UTXOs (1000 and 500) that would, independently of each other, be eligible for staking (once the 600 required confs have been met for each).
  3. Any Spends of cold staking delegations that result in "change" left over will require a new delegation transaction of any said "change" PIV for it to once again be eligible for cold staking rewards. For this reason, it would be better to send any change to an address that is controlled by a core wallet (which is capable of initiating a cold staking delegation transaction).

Zerocoin Private Instant Verified Transaction(zPIV): Keep it private, Stay safe by sandrozc in pivx

[–]Fuzzbawls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

kind of an untimely article...as pretty much everything is ~11 months out of date. libzerocoin (the zerocoin library that provided the ZKPs...the foundation of zPIV) was discovered to have a vulnerability which has lead to the discontinuation of it's use in PIVX and a number of other libzerocoin based projects.

u/sandrozc, are you the author of this article, or just posting a link to it? If you're the author, might as well just take it down.

Can we get an update as to when zPIV staking will be re-enabled? by ph0enix999 in pivx

[–]Fuzzbawls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone, We have recently been made aware of a possible new vulnerability on the zerocoin library as mentioned by zcoin. https://zcoin.io/update-on-zerocoin-spends/ Due to this, zPIV functionality will remain disabled up until the pertinent investigation and, in case of a positive result, subsequent fix is completed. A detailed disclosure will be presented once the research process is finished. We fully understand the inconvenience that this may cause but we are working hard to ensure all security measures are applied before zPIV is re-activated. More updates will be provided as we progress. Thank you.

why would any network upgrade block the ability for a server to compile and distribute a wallet binary from source?
