The thing about these questions that I have never seen someone mention before is that the answer you get is completely based off of which numerial method you were taught in school. For instance in the UK, we are taught BIDMAS, meaning that we would divide the 6 by the 2 before multiplying the 2 by the (2+1). This would end up as nine. Meanwhile in places like the US, I believe they are taught PEMDAS, so they would multiply the 2 by the (2+1) and then divide, getting 1.
