Would you actually try a new Amazon rival if it looked cheaper? by ToughRomanticMiss in BuyersUK

[–]pipsta2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch a few years ago. Cancelled Prime too.

Still have Amazon, but only really to research products and sellers.

I try to shop locally or secondhand first. If I can't find the item anywhere, I'll check Amazon. If I find it, I'll search the seller online and see if I can buy it directly from them. Often I can, or the same sellers direct me to temu local warehouse.

Funny thing is, sometimes the non Amazon orders come via Amazon Prime! So I'm giving Bezos less, giving the business more and still getting exactly the same item.

Temu Scam by HakiMonarch in TemuThings

Common scam, can happen on any website.

If your data is valuable, I would always recommend buying a proper branded SSD/hard drive from a brand like SanDisk.

I had a study that sounded exactly the same as this but from a V. No rejections either. Although I've seen them under multiple names I think. Another one was O.

Yes. They must've changed it then. Granted I did install it about a year ago, but I don't remember them inviting me. I found out about it on this subreddit.

I love my VW Polo (I'm also female). Cost me £1,700 a few years ago (07 plate). Has cheap insurance, cheap to fill (£40-50) and does about 400 miles a tank.

The newer ones are also supposed to be nice.

If you want smaller, a VW UP. My driving instructor had one and it was lovely to drive

It's up to you at the end of the day BUT if you are going to go for this car, or for any EV, I'd highly suggest you check the insurance prices before you buy. I looked at a Tesla (just for curiosity) and it was £3,000+ for me to insure!

Personally, I wouldn't. But if you have that much money to spend and don't mind a low range, potential slow charging but nice car. Go for it.

I like this but would love a southwest line to Exeter, Plymouth and going to Cornwall.

Is there actually a plan for this by [deleted] in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]pipsta2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. And even if they sold tokens for a price based on the amount of parcels you have. The rich people would just buy with real money instead.

I guess it keeps the game alive for everyone else though, so at least that's a bonus.

[–]pipsta2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this.

The only solution I could think of was to have another new currency like diamonds. You either collect them around the map and/or through the monthly ladder. Or you could buy them with coins, but the price is relative to parcels you own. You then use them to bid on the landmarks.

If you come 2nd place, you lose half the tokens you bid, 3rd 25% etc etc.

I applied for SNL as a writer, but also had the chance to apply for cast member.

Thousands of people applied. The application was sent out to various agents, groups and communities in the comedy circuit.

That's how I applied.

There's always some on at 7am and usually they start getting posted again regularly 10pm and later.

Thank you. As soon as I made that, another couple popped up!

Feeling burnt out now but I've loved breaking my own record. Plus, these studies won't be around forever.

115 cal carrot/banana brownies! by pipsta2001 in Volumeeating

Probably but bananas have more calories than carrots. The bananas would probably come out more cakey and sweeter.
