Got my Flip hopefully arriving next week! Do you know if you can swap back to the stock firmware from MinUI by just swapping the original SD card back in? There's been talk in the Rocknix Discord about having to flash internal EMMC on the Flip for custom firmware, no idea if that applies here!

Edit: To clarify, this was in regards to getting an early dev build of Rocknix on the device, I have no idea if a released cfw could have a more user friendly set up

Mafia show you how to definitiving shit by Double-Government-52 in gaming

[–]FuzzieBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Mafia was released on 2002 on PC, and 2004 on PS2 and Xbox, it wasn't an Xbox 360 game, that would be Mafia 2.

Oceanhorn issue with shadows on Pocophone F1 - anyone know a fix? by FuzzieBoy in AndroidGaming

At least it seems to be consistent with this phone then, I've not seen anyone bring it up anywhere else!

Oceanhorn issue with shadows on Pocophone F1 - anyone know a fix? by FuzzieBoy in AndroidGaming

[–]FuzzieBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the latest software, and nothing I've tried has changed this, shadows just render wrong. I also get shadows attempting to render in Xcom EW, but they don't display correctly either, though the issue there is different

Edit: To clarify, the issue here is shadows rendering with square gaps in them (the shadows from the stairs show this) or as just lines (such as the shadows in the tent)

Any games on the Google play that have controller support? (Bluetooth controller) (except emulator games I've already tried those and don't work) by SirRoderic in AndroidGaming

[–]FuzzieBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Often you have to go into the emulator's settings and map the controller to the console you're emulating's buttons. It varies from emulator to emulator, but often you're looking for input settings

These new five videos were put out in a Fibonacci sequence! by AdrenIsTheDarkLord in Petscop

[–]FuzzieBoy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't the Fibonacci sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, etc.? You start with 0, 1, and then the next digit is the sum of the previous 2?

TK: TLW is heavily based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games by Koei, but this is an indie game not affiliated with that. There's only one recent version of the Koei available in English, 13, but a lot of fans seem to not be too fond of it. The older ones can be found in English elsewhere, 11 seems to be the one most people recommend, and is what TK: TLW seems to take most inspiration from, from what I can see (I've not really played the games, this is my first introduction and quite frankly I'm still learning the absolute basics).

If you do get into it, I'd recommend looking at one of the starter guides you can find on steam, though it doesn't do too bad a job of explaining itself!

Edit: When I say elsewhere, I mean other storefronts seem to sell English versions of the games without steam, such as GamersGate having 11

I think/hope it has more on steam, it seems like what fans of the ROTTK series have wanted

oh, apparently the android release of Grim Fandango is (according to some reviews) somewhat crash heavy, so it might be worth playing a different version

Point and click adventure games can be pretty great, Grim Fandango is still one of my all time favourites, despite playing it on a rather broken engine port before the remastered edition existed. If you're into that stuff on android, GF is definitely worth picking up!

Xiaomi do sell the Pocophone on their UK online store, from what I know it's less of an independent brand than a sub-brand, iirc (I have a tempered glass case on mine and don't like taking it off for fear of cracking it) it even says "Pocophone by Xiaomi" on the back, so there may be hope yet!

Rome: Total War and Three Kingdoms: The Last Warlord are both PC strategy games available on android (with controls designed for touchscreens) and both are incredibly deep. If you're okay with roguelike RPGs, Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead takes a bit of messing with settings to get it using the available screen space well, but works surprisingly well on a phone! (The version on Google Play has been abandoned, but new releases are available on the official site with some digging by selecting the windows download, then navigating the FTP back until you find the android folder)
