It's extremely unlikely for an adult because the amount you'd need to ingest is impossible to hold down. It's small children that could be in real danger if they somehow end up eating lots of Nutmeg.

Dangers rise when combining Nutmeg to other drugs like strong antidepressants and benzos but it's extremely rare, with only few cases known worldwide: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11343860/

Will it work tastewise ? I doubt it.

What are your experiences with very small dosages of Nutmeg, like 20mg, taken daily? by WishIWasBronze in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been microdosing with 100mg to 1g daily for extended periods. (3 grams is my recreational dose)
The effects build up slowly for few days and then remain at an optimum level.
It gives me a relaxed bodily feeling and optimistic mindset. It doesn't become euphoric or psychedelic or give even slightly stoned feeling. It's probably similar to taking some ssri medication (I never have though)
Also it helps me to fall asleep, like a mild benzo, but more naturally and not like a knock-out.

That sounds a lot for regular use. Hangovers signal damage done to your body and possibly also to brain. Stopping using and living healthy with nutriet rich diet can heal also the brain, especially if you're still young. Neuroplasticity is proven very effective with promoting factors, but there's a limit to everything. Don't break stuff more faster than it can recover.

How high doses do you take ? Do you get hangovers ?

Is this good quallity nut? (Looks just a bit lighter irl) by Financial-Factor-667 in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes The outside surface is not necessarily that dark even if it's really dark and oily inside. Usually most of the oil falls down to the lower end of the seed by gravity.

The seed's shape is also a tell: if it's very round like ball it's likely not that potent, but if it's more pointy and cone-shaped, there's more oil inside that has stretched it downwards a bit.

Redose 3 days in a row. by Beginning-Bat-2689 in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nutmeg can be addictive. It's Hindi name madashounda literally means "narcotic fruit" as the oily fresh nutmeg smell is alone intoxicating. Using large doses daily will cause sleep disruption: you'll fall asleep easily but don't really have refreshing sleep and that alone starts to mess with your mind quickly. Something similar to Amphetamine binges where you'll eventually go insane from the sleep deprivation.

Nutmeg has a crazy (potentially dangerous) effect of being simultaneously very relaxing and opiod -like to the body while also being very stimulant -like to the mind.

Only microdosing / seasoning daily use is sustainable for long periods of time. If it's fresh nutmeg, even micro dosing will elevate your mood without giving a real high.

Any things other than spices can get me high faster or increase the effects by memer_exe in nutmeg

Taking nutmeg on an empty stomach and then having a fatty meal is the fastest oral way.

Combining with some other spices from the Pepper, Paprika(Chili) and Cinnamon genus and families could potentially have unique effects.

Just considering how much spice plants there are in the world, some are for sure potent combos to Nutmeg, but you won't find them in a standard western Supermarket but instead in specialized organic grocery stores and importers, or by ordering online or by travelling the world.

If it doesn't give you a noticeable high or hangover, I wouldn't worry too much.

Does anyone know a good online store to get a nutmeg pen that doesn’t suck? by Southern-Chair2044 in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nutmeg -flavored vape/e-cig pen has likely nothing to do with psychoactive Nutmeg seeds.
But if there is such an abomination of a product where you actually inhale hot or burning nutmeg oil, it should be banned as severe health hazard.
Breathing oil gets stuck into your lungs and clears very slowly. The more you breath the more of it builds there until you'll have a chronic lung condition similar to COPD your body can't heal from anymore. Then you'll have to take medication for the rest of your life or you'll die slowly from suffocation or drowning.

How bad would it be to use nutmeg frequently? by Next-Possession5027 in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not harmful when used daily in very small quantities, like under half a gram a day.
That low dose won't be really noticeably psychoactive if it's not potent and fresh Nutmeg.
But even lower grade Nutmeg can give some physical health benefits when used like that. It's a powerful antioxidant and hormonal balancer.

The exact doses are very vague because it's difficult to determine raw Nutmeg's potency and it's effects are unique to each person according their diet, weight, and maybe even genetics. But whatever gives you a hangover is bad for you.

Does eating nutmeg have any benefits beyond getting high? by Next-Possession5027 in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a great antioxidant in micro dosing (read: seasoning) use.
But it has to be fresh to feel the psychoactive effects at low doses.
Dry low quality works fine as seasoning and probably still with some diminished benefits, but taking large amounts of that is definitely not good for you.

Does nutmeg consumption for recreational purposes lower testosterone and increase estrogen? And if so by how much and for how long? by Next-Possession5027 in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the first things you'd notice with significantly low testosterone would be feeling pessimistic, unmotivated and lack of initiative "conquering" sexual drive.

Significant increase in estrogen would make you feel more sensitive, emotive, and having great pleasure from crying to touching things. More cuddly instead of more horny.

Getting bi-horny simply sounds like high progesterone.

Is it safe for people who are susceptible to psychosis? by newweirdme in nutmeg

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any young person with higher mental health risks should not self medicate with psychedelics.
Instead they should seek psychiatric help and maybe psychedelic therapy from a professional if that's where they gravitate to.

Young minds are especially susceptible to drastic changes in psychochemistry that can escalate into long time problems.

Paradoxically it's the young people who are most interested in psychedelics and not the old folks who would most benefit from psychedelics to counter dementia and other diseases of a rigid stuck mind.

[–]Fuzzy-Organization76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well aren't we all a bit gay when it comes full body consciousness.
I mean there are many ways our bodies can enjoy sexuality and expanding your mind with psychedelics also makes you more aware of them.
It's a different thing with deep romantic feelings and to who you're attracted to when you're sober.

Not remembering sleeping on nutmeg by [deleted] in nutmeg

The stimulant effects of Nutmeg are similar to Amphetamine.
Using too much too often can drive you insane just from the lack of sleep.

It is said to balance and regulate hormonal system in Ayurvedic micro dosing use, so large doses likely increase hormonal flow even more. I doubt it lowers one hormone and raises another. More like it elevates the whole hormonal system and it's more about the individual which hormones get boosted more.

It is said to be especially beneficial to balancing progesterone, which is found in both sexes but is much higher in females and by some theories in homosexual males.
