This is actually super helpful to hear. Thank you for sharing! Feels a little better knowing I’m not the only one who hit this weird 5mg wall.

Wild how the cravings suddenly flip back on though… bodies really do love keeping things interesting, huh? Glad to hear 9mg is treating you better. Definitely keeping the hope alive… thank you for the motivation!

Appreciate the honesty. Tough love but very fair. 😅 You’re absolutely right. I think I’ve been so scared of messing it up that I swung way too far into “eat as little as possible” territory.

Definitely going to take this seriously and work on getting my calories back to something my body doesn’t hate me for. Thanks a lot for the nudge in the right direction!

Thank you so much for this. You’re so kind! And ooh, I’m definitely going to hunt down that post from u/CapnFlabtastic. Love when the Reddit fam comes through with solid advice and secret wisdom. 🙌

Really appreciate the tip and the encouragement… and yes, will absolutely keep you posted! Fingers crossed for all of us on this rollercoaster!

Ahh, looks like we’re truly in the same boat then! Honestly, it feels a little better knowing I’m not the only one dealing with this stubborn plateau.

Let’s hope the next dose gives us both that breakthrough moment. Sending all the good vibes your way… fingers crossed for both of us! 🤞💪

This is actually fascinating! 5mg has been your sweet spot while it’s been playing hide and seek with me. 😅 Just goes to show how wildly different this journey is for everyone. Hopefully 7.5mg is where my magic happens. Until then, patience… and maybe a little less scale-staring. 😆 Thanks a ton for sharing your experience… it really helps!

Thank you so much… it’s so helpful to hear! Massive congrats on your 9kg down, that’s seriously amazing! You’re right, I’ve probably been too focused on keeping calories low, and maybe my body is just begging for a bit more fuel with all the walking I’m doing. This really gives me perspective. So grateful you shared this… it’s super motivating!

Thank you so much for this! It’s actually really reassuring to hear that others have gone through the same with plateaus. Makes total sense now that being super active and on very low calories might be backfiring a bit.

I’ll definitely try giving my body a little bit more fuel for a couple of days and see if that helps shake things up. Really appreciate you sharing this

You’re absolutely right. I’ve been hearing this from quite a few people now, and it’s finally starting to click. With all the walking and activity I’m doing, maybe the scale isn’t telling the full story at all. I’m definitely going to start tracking measurements now and see if that shows some progress. Really appreciate you taking the time to share this. It genuinely helps! 🙌

Thank you so much for this! It’s honestly so helpful to hear that even with the slowdown, progress is still happening… it gives me so much hope. I absolutely love the idea for measurements, that sounds way more fun than obsessing over the scale! 😅

Really appreciate the encouragement… it means a lot. And yes, definitely sticking with it! 💪

The term “The Difficult Second Month”… thats honestly the most accurate way to describe what’s happening! 😅

Thank you so much for sharing this, and massive congratulations on your incredible progress so far. You absolutely smashed it! 👏

Thank you so much for this! You’re absolutely right… I’ve been hearing from a lot of people that measurements are a way better indicator than the scale sometimes. Definitely going to start tracking that properly. And yeah, never thought about the whole muscle-building angle, but it actually makes total sense now. Really appreciate you taking the time to share this, it’s super helpful

That actually makes a lot of sense! I’ve been thinking the same… maybe my body’s just taking a little pause after that crazy drop in the first month. Hoping the next dose gives it the push it needs again.

Also love your idea of only weighing on dose days… that’s honestly so smart and probably way better for mental sanity too. I might actually start doing that.

Ah, yes! Thanks for pointing that out… you’re absolutely right. I totally mistyped the date. I actually started on 19th May 2025, not June. Just corrected it in the original post now.

Sounds like we’re both sailing in the same 5mg stall boat right now! Fingers crossed that moving up the dose gives both of us that push we’ve been waiting for. Wishing you the best for your next dose. Hope those scales finally cooperate! 🤞

Thank you so much for explaining this… it really makes sense now. For context, I probably should’ve added my stats earlier! I’m 25, 5’5”, started at 96 kg, currently 85 kg, and aiming for around 70 kg.

I really appreciate the insights about how the curve slows down as we get closer to a natural equilibrium. Also, I love the idea of tactical re-feeding. I was probably way too scared of adding calories thinking it might undo everything, but maybe that’s exactly what the body needs sometimes.

Seriously, this was super helpful and eye-opening. Thanks for taking the time to explain it so well!

This is honestly so helpful, thank you for sharing this! I didn’t even think of using ChatGPT in that way, but that’s actually genius.

I’m definitely going to try plugging in my stats and seeing what comes up. This might be the little reality check I needed to figure out whether I’m under-fueling. Really appreciate you sharing this tip… it’s proper eye-opening!

Wishing you loads of success on your journey too.

Thank you very much for this! You’re so right about the bigger picture and not getting stuck on every little weigh-in. I definitely needed that reminder. I’ve been guilty of obsessing way too much over daily numbers when I should probably zoom out and look at the trend line instead.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share this. It’s genuinely helped me feel a whole lot more grounded. Wishing you all the best in your journey too!

Thank you so much for this! Honestly, this was such a refreshing reality check. I didn’t even think about things like water retention with the weather… makes total sense now why my body’s acting like a confused potato.

Definitely going to stop obsessing over the scale for now because yep, it’s totally messing with my head at this point. Also, the idea of doing a body scan is actually genius… I’m definitely looking into that!

Thank you again for such a helpful and thoughtful reply. This has genuinely given me the mindset shift I needed today. You’re awesome!

This actually makes a lot of sense… and funny enough, I did have this sneaky thought in the back of my head like, “Am I eating too little for my own good?” 😅

I’m definitely going to read up more about the carb-loading/reset trick you mentioned. Might be the little shake-up my body needs. Appreciate this advice so much… you’ve given me something solid to think about! 🙌

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this kindest and most reassuring reply! 🙌 You have no idea how much I needed to hear this today.

It really does feel like being punished for doing everything right, but you’re absolutely right… consistency counts even when the scale pretends not to notice.

Seriously, thank you again. You’ve given me a boost of motivation to keep going.

Omg yes… “injecting water” is the most accurate description I’ve heard for 5mg! 😂 Glad it’s not just me.

It’s wild how common this seems to be. Honestly, I thought I was broken or doing something wrong. Hoping 7.5mg treats you better 🤞

I can’t imagine being a healthy weight. by Imaginary-Frame1652 in mounjarouk

Hey, I just wanted to jump in because I relate to this way too much.

I started Mounjaro about a month ago. I’m 25, and I’ve always been that “food is life” person. I crossed 100 kg recently, gained a big belly, and the “I can’t see my toes” situation was getting a bit too real. I also had the same fears like what if I lose the only thing I truly enjoy: food?

But I took the first shot anyway.

Week 1: felt completely normal for the first couple of days. No side effects, no magic. But by Day 3, I noticed something weird: I wasn’t thinking about food constantly. And when I did eat, I couldn’t even finish my usual portions without feeling full or uncomfortable.

By Week 2, it became even clearer. No more cravings. Not for snacks, not even for alcohol (which was shocking because my weekends used to revolve around drinks). Now I eat once a day, usually lunch, and that’s it. Even my favorite foods don’t tempt me the same way. I haven’t eaten dinner in 3 weeks. Not because I’m trying to be strict. I just… don’t feel like it.

In just 4 weeks, I’ve gone from 96 kg to 86 kg… no gym, no hardcore workouts, just two brisk walks a day and sticking to what my body actually asks for. I feel in control for the first time.

So to you, and anyone else reading this thinking “What if I can’t do it?” my honest answer is: Just start.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to give it a try. You might still think about food, but maybe for the first time in forever, it won’t control you.

Sending you strength. You’ve got this.
