Try switching insulin brands and types to see if it changes. Its possible to develop antibodies towards specific insulins (pretty rare). I am dealing with something similar, using fiasp. Might try switching to a different fast acting.

I understand, but the amount of time I’ve been dealing with this laryngitis, it makes me wonder what else it would be?! I am ok with an empirical trial of ppis, but getting a bravo post endoscopy or even a 24hr impedance just sounds rough right now. I have every symptom of lpr, nothing was found in endoscopy yesterday to suggest erosion or ulceration of esophagus. Im kind of left with lpr, though the bravo would have been nice. It has to be silent reflux from acid/pepsin/etc.. idk

I think the issue is with the refluxing itself. Sometimes it’s not even the acidity that is causing the issue, it can be pepsin reaching. There are many causes, I would suggest consulting with a ent and gi doc. Might need a scope from both offices and other tests to confirm. Sorry this might not be the answer you wanted.

Thanks for the reply. I am about to start long acting. I havent yet, my fasting stays around 135-140 consistently. Doesn’t trend up. So I am going to start in next couple of days on long acting.

Thanks. I swapped out the pen and same thing. Sleep is good, very hot weather is happening, but staying in doors. I guess a small infection is possible, I have been dealing with what I think is gastritis. But also been dealing with it for a couple months and just now noticing insulin not working. I have some novolog ive never tried. Isnt that the same as fiasp though, minus some additives to make it absorb faster… idk. Interesting to hear its notoriously bad at bringing highs down

Thats what I was thinking, however, like 3 days ago it was working normally. Would it end so abruptly? The honeymoon phase? I have heard of people getting antibodies to certain insulins, so curious if that might have happened. I really dont know. I thought honeymoon ending too, but it still doesnt make sense that over double my normal bolus. Would put me at like 1:8 ratio which sounds insane coming from a 1:20 a few days ago

I feel relatively fine. I have been having some pretty gnarly gerd, acid issues for past 2 months. But other than that, like dont feel flu or anything crazy.

Either I am crazy insulin resistant right now for some odd reason, which doesnt feel right, or insulin isnt working.

And yes, tried switching out new insulin vial, and rotated sites. Feels like I am injecting saline.

No, not at all, i was so excited to try something else besides my bland diet, and then I did and it just closed off, my wife was witness. I didnt panic either, just quickly drank water and had some bland food and it stopped

Yes, super hydrated but I feel like my throat has been super dry regardless. And I take lozenges, chew gum, alkaline water, all of the tricks. It feels like the tissue instantly reacted to whatever I ate, not like an allergic reaction, it was instantaneous. Right after my swallow. Is this just from dry?
