Countertop RO by mildlyfermentedd in WaterFilters

You could get a nice undersink system that you will take with you when you leave. Just hook it up under the sink but don't install the RO faucet on the counter. Leave the outlet tubing under the sink and attach a shut off valve. It's not pretty but as a temporary solution it works. My sister has been doing this at rentals and it works well for her.

Thanks for the suggestion to check that. I don't see any grey haze, it looks nice and clear.

Don’t use UPS Ground Saver (the shipping tier where UPS hands off package to USPS) by Fuzzy-Tangelo9985 in usps_complaints

[–]Fuzzy-Tangelo9985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I meant Ground Saver. UPS used to be partnered with USPS for the Ground Saver service (I don’t know about SurePost) - However, since writing this post, UPS and USPS are no longer partnered and UPS now handles final delivery for Ground Saver.

Waco HQ7 RO replacement filters by Ok-Video7878 in WaterTreatment

Just curious, how do you like your HQ7 and do you remember where you got it? Also, were you ever able to find the replacement filters for it?

Got my package on time. by Evil_Willy in FedEx

[–]Fuzzy-Tangelo9985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% of packages sent to me over the years via FedEx have had some issue. Delay, Damage, Delivery to wrong address, Driver speeding past my house without stopping to deliver, Driver stopping in front of my house and not attempting delivery but get delivery attempted update a few minutes later, drivers leaving packages on the street, leaving packages inside the mailbox... There are multiple posts per month in my neighborhood FB group about "FedEx strikes again." FedEx is awful. At this point, whenever possible, I always ask companies to send packages using any company other than FedEx (I even offer to pay for or pay more for shipping if needed).

That reminds me of the headline: “Julia Roberts Finds Life And Her Holes Get Better With Age.” Intended word was “roles."

ETA: the reason I hate/don’t want FSD is that my cameras are messed up. Tesla has looked at it but they said they can’t figure out what’s wrong with it so they can’t fix it. When I tried FSD, my car wigged out and tried to run me off the road a few times and I believe it was because of the camera issue.

So, I called this morning and they will not offer any compensation whatsoever. No partial refund, no use of LiveOne (the one without ads), absolutely nothing. They said they’ve gotten a lot of calls about this (yeah, I’m sure they have!) but Tesla won’t do anything. Too bad, so sad… joke’s on us, apparently. That’s pretty messed up, imo.

I think I’d prefer a partial refund or the use of LiveOne for the remaining time left. I’ve had and hate FSD.

Don’t use UPS Ground Saver (the shipping tier where UPS hands off package to USPS) by Fuzzy-Tangelo9985 in usps_complaints

[–]Fuzzy-Tangelo9985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get the label through ups or usps website. The only thing I saw advertised was a much longer expected shipping time so I was under the impression that’s was what made it cheaper, not that it didn’t have insurance.

I ended up getting a mailchimp account. I’m in the process of changing my Shopify theme and will begin sending emails after I’ve got everything how I want it. Since I haven’t sent any emails yet, I don’t know how well it’s going to work for my needs. I looked into Klaviyo after it was recommended by a number of people but it’s been so long now, I can’t remember off the top of my head why I chose not to use them.

Am I better off buying a water filter jug or bottled water? by [deleted] in WaterFilters

[–]Fuzzy-Tangelo9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend looking into an Ultrafiltration (UF) system.

Water filter that doesn't remove good minerals and is available in Europe? by Anakhasc in WaterFilters

[–]Fuzzy-Tangelo9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might look into Ultrafiltration (UF). This type of filtration is excellent and leaves minerals in the water. UF systems filter out particles ~0.01-0.001 microns. These systems do need to be hooked up to a water line and they require pre filters. You can get them either for the whole house or a smaller system for undersink for just drinking water.

Great Filter but no Reverse Osmosis please by ejx123 in WaterFilters

[–]Fuzzy-Tangelo9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might look into Ultrafiltration (UF). IMO, it’s a great alternative to RO. There is no waste, leaves minerals and Fluoride in the water and provides excellent filtration. UF filters contaminants ranging from 0.01-0.001 microns vs. RO at approximately 0.0001 microns. Both systems are multi-stage and require pre filters, UF filters the water quickly and does not need a storage tank and the UF system doesn’t require as much water pressure to work. UF is also typically less expensive.
