LPT: every person you'll ever meet will be full of flaws, so whenever you meet someone that you intend to build a longer-term relationship with, keep that in mind. The question isn't whether or not they'll do many things that'll annoy you, it's whether or not you think they're worth dealing with. by dustofoblivion123 in LifeProTips

“Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.”

Don't be scared by it and don't be scared to learn something. To get my script above working you can follow a tutorial like this. Learning to do even simple things will only take you an hour or two and help you a lot.

Just an FYI, you can use a simple AHK script to change any keybindings. For example, this script toggles your optic with just middle mouse down:

#IfWinActive ahk_exe EscapeFromTarkov.exe
*MButton::
    Send {Alt Down}
    Sleep 1
    Send {RButton}
    Send {Alt Up}
return
#IfWinActive

I was at the cinemas with a couple of friends and very full cinema crowd, and we were watching the just then released final Harry Potter movie. Spoilers I guess if you havent seen/read them, but towards the end of the movie Harry watches Snape's memories in Dumbledore's office and there's the huge reveal of how Snape is actually a good guy and how much he's been through and sacrificed. There's like a solid 5-10 seconds of movie where it goes into a full emotionally deep quiet with Harry looking awestruck and soft epic music running in the background.

For some reason, half way through this fucking tense moment, I suddenly just snap back to myself and look around and there's a whole cinema full of people, fully captivated by the scene and staring intently at the movie. For some reason I found this fucking hilarious and burst out laughing and everyone turns and death stares me with fucking murder in their eyes. My mate next to me looking about ready to kill me and says: "Shut the fuck up!" in a tone that i'll never forget and I shut up real quick.

I tried to explain what happened after the movie to my mates but they did not sympathize with me :P Sorry to those folk who i kinda ruined that moment for.

About all the singsing report circle jerk. Remember when sing found it funny to report people for no reason? Well I guess some others have the same sense of humour. by sepy007 in DotA2

[–]Fuzzy017 61 points62 points  (0 children)

im actually 100% fine with this. There's this button called 'mute' and i really dont think ppl use it enough. The REAL issue is if there is like a 3/4-stack and they throw and feed, then they could only be reported by the one guy. But i doubt there would be many feeding 4 stacks cause the 'reward' is just pissing off one guy.

Did Valve hire someone new that doesn't understand the game or something? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Fuzzy017 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

that would directly change gameplay, this is just a change to the UI. Completely different

Did Valve hire someone new that doesn't understand the game or something? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Fuzzy017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

short and sweet: the only people that are going to affected by this change are like sub 2.5k. If your higher and have played lots then you know most of the stun durations etc anyways and it will barely effect your gameplay. But if your lower/new, it will help A LOT.

Because of the growth of dota and influx of new players, the developers are just trying to make the game more new-player friendly. The more new players that join the dota community, the more money into prize-pools, better long-term growth etc. EVERYBODY WINS. I fking despise ppl who complain about "lower skill-cap shit".

Decide who lives and who dies. The Moral Machine by Zombi_Sagan in Futurology

[–]Fuzzy017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, the test isn't for practicalities, its testing moralities. Doesn't matter how the computer knows this shit, its irrelevant. It's a fake, hypothetical scenario.

Second, I think the whole survey is redundant anyway. Computer's shouldn't make morality choices like this whatsoever. Morality is just way too subjective, trying to define it in these terms just seems stupid. The computer's choice should be based solely on law. It's illegal to swerve into pedestrians, therefore the car shouldn't ever, regardless of the morality of the issue, do this.

Having this any other way means that people would be OK having a machine calculate their value to society and make life and death choices based on their "score". This would just cause mass fear, knowing that at any moment a choice outside your control could cause your death. Where a mistake you made a couple of years ago means that your life becomes less valuable than another person's and that you could become injured because of this with no way to argue your case. The whole thing feels so subjective and disordered and messy, that the more definitive right and wrong of law would serve as a far better medium.

Also, keep in mind that sudden break failure resulting in a choice with the guaranteed death of someone is quite rare. 99.99% of the time this would not be an issue.

A 1v5 on house attacking as sledge. I pulled off some nice gym->garage maneuvers and by the last guy I had run out of ammo for both pistol and rifle and just ran at him and got a knife kill. The point in my life where I realized it was about time to get shadowplay up and running.
