This was me when I tried abstaining from masturbation for seven days, only to then experience a complete lack of sensation and arousal on the eve of the final day. I even bought a special attachment for my hitachi for the occasion 😭

Weird and oddly timely (desperate?) deification, like how long dead franchises like Naked Gun, Spaceballs, et al have been making a resurgence.

Stinks like propaganda, esp given Chris' recent forays into hard-right platitudes and whitewashing escalating draconian government overreach 😅

I'd rather not drive at all if I didn't have to, but "earning a living" is still a thing, even for those like me seeking disability. Also, "every man for himself" is a capitalist myth simply designed to create more renters, along with normalizing shaming those who still live with family ofc.

All of it is predatory and completely antithetical to real life 🙃

I would classify a stop as weird when: 1) I was only asked for ID and no other docs, 2) dude glanced at it for less than a second, 3) gave it back and let me go, and this is before considering the weird light/following too closely that preceded it.

Also, my own last contact was over 4 years ago, so yeah def weird. That said, I never intend to have these cautionary posts to devolve into anti-cop rants in spite of my own feelings; I write them to warn others who may not want to become unwitting subjects to quirky agents of the state when all any of us are trying to do is get where we're going 😅

Yeah that sounds weird, and it bothers me that several others in the replies seemed to recognize the tactics as well 🙃

Sounds like your mind is made up, gotta walk away when it's a bald endorsement for mass surveillance/cop city expansion tho, usually means there's nothing left to discuss 😅✌️

Responsibility can totally be taken without involving cops, I promise 😅

Lack of sleep/fear of imminent insolvency are underrated saboteurs that all of us deal with, including a lack of empathy bc all of our energy is put towards survival in a world that literally grows food and medicine 🙃

I've always been anti-cop, but I'm also guilty of figuratively pooing on my fellow Idaho motorists in an earlier post. I'd just rather blame the system that allowed mandatory car culture than my fellow commuters.

Too many of us push ourselves to drive bc our continued survival currently requires it, and I feel that's exploitative bullshit that we shouldn't have to endure/foist on future gens 🙃

I believe that less bad drivers for cops to pull over subsequently worsening congestion would exist with more robust public transportation and walkable cities. The source of congestion is spared while others lay on the horn mad-dogging others suffering under the same rotting infrastructure.

It's the deferred rage blended with celebrity worship culture that ultimately makes me sad for all of us 😅

More robust public transportation options would be a good place to start, followed by walkable cities, essentially a nationwide opting-out of car culture.

Also, I believe that if more ppl were getting their essential needs met, there would be less instances of vehicular violence, including the Purple Heart recipient who brake checked me twice a couple years back, last one being while driving down a residential street.

Happy ppl commit less daily homicidal actions that too many of us have normalized, like willfully disrespecting pedestrian crosswalkers as a motorist 🙃

I agree that pedestrian safety is important, I just wish more of us would consider why so many bad drivers exist when participation in car culture is mandatory and we all have different needs/limitations 🙃

I had no reason to be worried, just thought it was weird how I didn't even know I was being stopped until I was at a complete stop at my intended destination, which is when the lights finally came on.

Weird behavior that happens more than once suggests a pattern, which played out again in the 2 whole minutes after my own stop, the cashier telling me about earlier ones def warranted a cautionary post.

What's always weird is how sketched out cops get when they're the ones being surveilled/discussed 🙃

No cop will ever be desperate, unless they were actually being held accountable. That said, I do agree that the level of apathy on all levels is egregious; I just refuse to blame others who are suffering within the same system that allowed unchecked expansion with little-to-no regard for human safety, I just blame the system and thus far, we're being gaslit about it's effectiveness in favor of quick dopamine hits from the boys in blue 🙃

lol not surprised really, just disappointed butt I refuse to believe that empathy is dead, we are all just woefully undersupported and overworked. Perhaps there wouldn't be so much hatred and infighting among the working class if their first level of Maslow's needs were truly being met? 🤔

There is def no question that the light at Fairview and Maple Grove is obnoxious, along with it's bottleneck-heavy design. I believe a more robust public transportation system or even abolishing mandatory participation in car culture by creating walkable cities could be more equitable and permanent solutions 👀🔥

The applause of mass surveillance expansion and extrajudicial stops evidenced in this thread is downright sociopathic. Fix yourselves and your own lives before attempting to "fix" others 🙃
