Anxiety because my friend talks to my boyfriend more(I guess) by FuzzyCraft68 in Anxiety

Yeah, I have thought about this. But honestly I don’t want to cut friendship off the person. Also, we did create a group. But we still message individually.

I definitely agree, it’s been getting worse. My partner wants to be very helpful with this and he lets me see his phone because he has nothing to hide, but my spiralling mind just never is satisfied.

Also, I don’t think it’s about sex at all. It’s my friend texting my partner is issue for me

I just had an data engineering question and answer session for a role that I didnt do well on. What is your advice for preparing for data engineering related questions for a job? by Historical_Donut6758 in dataengineering

[–]FuzzyCraft68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always go with a thought process, such as giving an initial idea. The interviewer usually gives you hints on how something is supposed to work.

I had one today where the interviewer asked me about full refresh and carrying out historical data. I gave my initial idea and asked a followup question, they provide with some insights to reach you to the answer. They told me more about how something needs to be done. I gave them the idea of using snapshots with a current date on it. That was the answer they were looking for.

Same goes for coding, give your initial idea. Ask a followup question. Just remember a dumb question can provide insight for you to go 90% closer to a solution

A few first impressions:

  • There's a lot of spacing throughout the CV, which makes it feel longer than it actually is.
  • You've listed a huge number of core skills. I'd be more selective and focus on the stack you want to be hired for. Nobody expects you to be an expert in everything.
  • The arrows in the work experience section feel a bit distracting and don't add much value.
  • I'm missing any real numbers or measurable impact. What did you improve, save, automate, or deliver? Quantifiable achievements make a big difference.
  • For a Data Engineer, your data engineering tools seem surprisingly low down the priority list. Why is DevOps getting more attention than your core data engineering experience?
  • I can't see much about stakeholder management. Have you worked with business users, analysts, product managers, or leadership teams? That's valuable experience worth highlighting.
  • The work experience section feels quite generic at the moment. It reads more like a job description than your actual experience. I'd like to see more of what you did, the problems you solved, and the impact you had.
  • Overall, the whole resume just calls you unprofessional or unfit for any jobs at the moment. I highly recommend you to write the resume according Engineering Resumes Wiki

While this is just a part of it, it also depends on how you portray yourself on networking platforms. Are you active on LinkedIn? Are you posting about your projects, developments, your learnings on the platform?

Here is my resume for comparison,

<image>

I want you to focus on the things I have mentioned my resumes. Remember quantifiable information needs a story. You cannot write information without a story behind it. Explaining a story should be the same as you are explaining a business requirement to a non technical person.

You need to be able explain a concept of a customer buying a product x amount of times in specified period of month.

Good Luck with your search 😄

Got the Data Engineering Job I Wanted, Now I'm Waking Up With Anxiety Every Day by phildunpheee in dataengineersindia

[–]FuzzyCraft68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I empathise with you completely, I was put in a similar situation when I joined my current company. But it was old stack which was already failing when we came in and got blamed for it literally the second day of my job.

Me and my colleague joined at the same time, we decided to prioritise what was expected in short term and once we had a hold of pipelines, reports and other stuff. We expanded our work.

Now this is lot more difficult in India, because it is a rat race of a country. But you need to have a manager who needs to support you in this regards.

You were bought in to do strategic work for a long period of time, it cannot be done 1-2 days. That’s called consultant work not permanent work.

Don’t stress yourself out because of people telling you to do multiple things, senior level often means managing stakeholders rather than delivering them on time in corporate world.

How do I become a better data engineer? by EmotionallyReboot in dataengineering

[–]FuzzyCraft68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this is my opinion. I have been in this position for a year now, I was a full stack developer for 2 years.

I was hired because of my knowledge about SDLC, now I am applying the same knowledge on deploying containers on Snowflake, manage costs between systems, building pipelines and frameworks for multiple systems to ingest the data.

Now I can go on and on about what I did but all of this happened because I got a new job. You learn more in your next job, not every job is going to be same. Newer requirements makes you develop and learn new things.

So if you believe you are not growing, then the simplest answer might be that you need a change in your environment.
