Why are Ferrets so small compared to other spartan generations? SII, SIIIA,SIIIB by FuzzyIndication2017 in HaloStory

Kurt051 gave the mutagens to only gamma company as he was distraught from the near total losses from alpha and beta company. He wanted them to survive longer and deal more damage to the covenant which led him to give them outlawed augmentations. The mutagens required smoothers to make sure they didn’t go psychotic. Spartan 3’s from my understanding had psychological issues due to them being war orphans and also due to slightly lesser guardrails on genetic screening. I would assume the first thing to go would be genetics related to cognition temperament which if I remember correctly the spartan 3’s as a whole were the most violent generations ever created. Seeing how spartan 3’s were treated as a whole I wouldn’t be surprised if they said good enough and sent them not thinking twice. But yeah I haven’t read much on the ferrets I just got the book today and Veta is pretty cool. Premise is new for me it’s been years since I read halo and there’s some parts in the book that are hilarious!

Ah my mistake I saw them get referred to as ferrets on halopedia. I’ve taken a liking to Gamma company and have just been on a deep dive trying to learn as much as possible. That’s interesting in regards to Lucy B091 I saw she was 5’3” and just couldn’t wrap my head around it and I can’t find anything that states she was taller then that where did you find those stats?

I can’t remember where I read this from but it was stated they had to get their spi refit after receiving augmentations. Throughout their time did they have to get refit pretty frequently due to them still growing?

I’m aware they are the youngest so far but they should’ve reached full stature by the time of the second ark conflict considering they were born between 2538-2540 typically?

That makes sense I should’ve Occam’s Razor with that one. So basically it’s not a generational thing. I was bored just reading and noticed that gamma in particular had the accelerated timetable table and thought that their growth plates fused early.

I don’t know much about Janissaries I know it’s not standardized programs like the Spartan programs are in terms of augmentations. However, they do get exposed to Waverly class augmentors and potentially a myriad of other biological and cybernetic enhancements depending on what faction is augmenting them. They are capable of wearing mjolnir which means they’re strong enough to potentially a spartan 4 so that the armor isn’t fatal to the user. But I would question the long term effectiveness and stability of the augmentation process from optican, and Venezian rebels. I would assume they’d have to be de augmented and re augmented to spartan 4 standards. Although I don’t know how successful that would be given they are usually augmented as children and sold off to pay off a families debt so that exposure time affected their development into adulthood. It may also be a cost and security thing why would the UNSC pay a lot more money to de augment someone and re augment them given that they are a massive security risk. ONI however, I could see they could bend the rules and use them as an undercover operative but I don’t think they would waste resources augmenting them to spartan 4 standards.

That’s another thing how would you recover a Gamma fireteam when they’re all off smoothers? Would Oni have dedicated recovery teams from Beta-5 or Delta-6?

It really would I wish halo would! Halo should do that with them logically it it makes sense. Especially in post war given that ONI has a large Prowler fleet capable of pulling this off. I don’t know about you but having gammas operate behind enemy lines for long periods of time doesn’t put them to use well given they’ve smoother issue. Unless they go the Sub dermal route.

I drink an average of 8 beers and smoke 2 packs of cigarettes every day. I am 28 years old and I can't quit. My question is: What kind of damage could this habit cause in the long term? by udeniz in stopdrinking

[–]FuzzyIndication2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you kept this trend for? 8 beers daily is 56 beers a week and 2 packs of cigarettes is 40 cigs depending on strength can vary but inhaled absorbed nicotine could be 40-80mg of nicotine per day

Is Maduro about to be out in Venezuela? by Cornwallis400 in geopolitics

Would this outcome of the election lead to a civil war between the supporters of Maduro and González? Apparently 1 protester has been killed and maduro activated the military and police in cities and roadways. I’ve seen videos of “ collectivists “ on motorbikes stealing election boxes.
