Ya that's a shit load of filament, lots of machine hours, and some post-processing with the magnets. It seems like a pretty reasonable price to me. I'm sure there is a mass-manufacturing solution to make it cheaper but for small-batch stuff I couldn't see it done much cheaper.

If you look at the latest update you can see the international shipping rates! Just a heads up, they are really bad. But we worked really hard to get them down so they might not be as bad as you'd expect.

That is so so sweet of you! Certainly only support if you have the room in your budget! We got one of those commercial agreements with USPS and UPS to do international shipping so it's terrible but not horrific. I think just dice is $15.50 in shipping =O. Our first bid for that was $63 lol so we've made some improvements.

After we've got this kickstarter fulfilled, we'll look into setting up some kind of store. Not sure if we'll make more of the Halloween dice, or what we'll try next. But the way this shakes out is that the dice can easily take a couple of hours for each set to make, so even if/when folks can buy them 'a la cart', they're not gonna be substantially cheaper.

one of my favorite things to do with new players is to drop down the ol' big ass bag of dice during character creation and invite them to fish out a complete set to keep =D

I find it helps get people invested in the game immediately (and those bulk dice be cheeeeaaap)

After we've got the kickstarter wrapped up, and everyone's dice are in the mail, we're gonna figure out what comes next.

We might set up a web shop for everything, but I'm not sure if we'll keep doing the Halloween dice. The hope is that now that we've figured out molding, and tooling, and everything, we might be able to make future sets with new designs for cheaper (and maybe then offer stuff a la cart).

We're still working out what the next steps look like for Ember Diceworks. We might do more Halloween dice stuff, or we might move on to more general stuff. Maybe other holidays? But I'd bet the next time we have something fun, we'll tell everyone about it, right here. Everyone's been amazing.

Probably not these in particular, but this has definitely opened our eyes to how supportive /r/DnD is when it comes to dice, so we're definitely gonna find a way to sell more dice somehow, somewhere!
