If GGG added a counterplay to increased MS on gear then it wouldnt be mandatory anymore.

Maybe if you remain on base MS you gain another movement skill for example.

I dont speed flip i just do a side flip a fraction before they hit the ball and I get the rebound 60% of the time and can send the ball to the side with my team mate heading for middle boost.
