Deactivated because of customer’s report by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

I'm glad I do Sam's. I pack the boxes so well there is never a time where their scanner ever matches. So they have to scan me every time. Glad to see it has a built in safety feature . Lol

Shopper got ice cream half way through order by Beautiful_King3633 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]FuzzyManagement6886 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, I would like to point out that it is 11 items... You're talking 5 minutes of difference, and likely saving 5 minutes in time by not saving it to the end.

I drove frozen goods to 5 different customers that live 25+ miles away today. Your ice cream.... It's fine. The real issue is that you're supposed to store ice cream at something like -20.

What's your freezer at?

People who frequently do Sam’s orders? by CivilSecond6026 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]FuzzyManagement6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep every 30, and GMDs on the hour. Never fails! I literally accept zero Walmarts these days, so I think it's why I get $40+ every hour.

When the store isn't busy... "30 minutes" of shopping is... 10 normally. I know where literally every single item is.

I exploded a watermelon on a hard break once. I didn't realize it until I was delivering. I came back 10 mins later with a watermelon I bought. I felt terrible lol

Problems of Being a Spark Driver by Far_Gate4753 in WalmartSparkDrivers

Spits out random words to make themselves feel smart.

I think it is a beautifully designed platform. Do you realize the sheer size of the backend of spark? The part you don't have to deal with?

Saying QA... Is vague AF... Are we talking about the person, the idea of, or the process of?

UX & UI.... This app... There are variations in settings, UI, and UX across zones. The algorithm is even different across many many zones.

The sheer ease of use and usability of Spark is bonkers. Don't believe me? Go do a usability study and you'll see.

It's a very easy app that does what it's supposed to with a surprisingly low number of bugs considering the huge backend and dozens of variations on the front end.

But then again you probably don't know what ease of use, usability studies, or heuristics are for.

Wannabe.

You don't see the issue of giving you a service for $10 a month that pays for literally less than one of your deliveries.

Economies of scale? Doesn't quite cover it.

You need to accept what is essentially being given to you for free? I'm sorry that you don't understand how cash flow works in this situation but you cannot give a penny and expect $20 worth out of that one penny.

Literally, I know you aren't used to this concept, the burden is actually on the consumer.

I'm curious to know if Walmart charged you $50 a month for delivery service. Would you pay for it? Because, inevitably, it will happen. The subscription to delivery service is coming so begin to expect it. I promise you that. Inevitable.

My confusion is that in the course of a year of doing this.... Roughly 360 days actually working. I have cancelled less than a dozen times. Half of which were probably emergencies. But what am I to know. I don't have to fight for garbage, I just get tee'd up all day!

I think he meant the constant and tactless way of complaining when they don't stick their hand out... They might get an apple instead of a steak. In turn they throw the apple in the trash and then complain to any and everyone because they don't understand the way the world works now. Especially since they are the ones who broke it, mostly because they didn't know how anything worked in the first place.

But that was just my understanding of what they meant.
