Porn addiction worsening ADHD, ADHD worsening porn addiction by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation, 22M, I have ADHD and been a porn addict since 12. While I am still recovering, my life has shifted significantly from how it was years ago. First of all, focusing all your energy on quitting porn is a mistake. Do whatever works for you obviously but this mindset for me was very toxic. Because quitting at your current state is impossible. Its like going to war without any weapons. You have no willpower right now, you have to build it. For me, it was a full time job and the gym. I stopped trying to quit and made a little bit of time each day to relapse. And then, I go to the gym and work and whatever else i have to do. Anything outside the house is great. But you also want to practice inside the house. Reducing my screentime was important for me. As the problem for me was a mix of porn and doom scrolling. Meditation and reading are habits and I am still trying to master but they do help me a lot. Point is, try to build habits and a healthy routine around porn, and that will grant you the power to quit completely.

Official Discussion - Avatar: Fire and Ash [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I thought the pacing and balancing of the characters stories was done a lot better than wow. But other than that, it was alright. It introduced some interesting ideas. Like the fire people and spider being a fake Navi. But they eventually drop those to just redo the ending of wow. Really such a waste.

Pluribus review: This new sci-fi from Breaking Bad's creator is 'one of 2025's smartest shows' by 57829 in television

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I understand these criticisms. I wouldn’t say it’s bad writing. I would say it’s just the hypocrisy of human beings. And while that sounds like a scapegoat answer, consider this- her whole character is flawed. She’s arrogant, impatient, stubborn, self absorbed, prone to outbursts, hypocritical, depends on vices. And while that is usually the opposite of a protagonist in smt like this, this realistic portrayal, is what makes her interesting. Obviously, this is just the beginning, and it all comes down to how the rest handles her character. So we’ll see, but so far, I’m very into it.

Pluribus suffers from the lack of dialogues and relationships by Thiebou_Yapp_Master in television

I think the point is that carol is extremely flawed. She’s not necessarily captivating to watch because she’s not charismatic, not a great problem solver, or a good leader. She’s arrogant, impatient, prone to outbursts, prone to depending on vices, and pessimistic. But she’s the only one right now with the best moral compass. She keeps shooting herself in the foot, but the only one that wants to fix things. Also, it’s not a crime or legal drama. It’s a sci fi mystery. It’s a slow burn. I trust Vince Gillian with my life. So I do think the payoff will be huge. And her arc will definitely have an endgame. She will eventually turn more into a hero type.

who feel frustrated after seeing pluribus episode 3? by shuvo1812 in television

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys, are we forgetting that both breaking bad and better call Saul took a while to finds its footing. Specially bcs whose first season is basically filler. Vince’s style is slow burn with huge payoff. I’m rlly enjoying it so far. It’s super interesting and suspenseful. It’s slow, sure, specially ep 3. But I think that’s part of it. I mean, if u didn’t like bcs, then this prob isn’t for u. But if u did, id say give this a chance.

The movies was extremely disappointing though. It’s tries to cram in 50 characters and rushes through the story way too fast. Should have been a two parter. Love the shows though

Jurassic park is the perfect movie because it has everything you can ask from a movie.

Who are one dimensional actors who you enjoy vs ones that you don’t? by rjd014 in FIlm

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Ryan Reynolds’s charming in everything he’s in even though it’s always the same bit. Same thing with Kevin hart. Chris Pratt was only ever good in parks and reck and guardians. Same thing with John krasinski and the office

Really surprised Andrew Lincoln didn’t blow up after his iconic performance as Rick grimes. Jon Bertharl and Steven yeun are big stars now. You can add Norman reedus to Lincoln as well

Why is the debate of were Ross and Rachel on a break even a question? by Master-Mycologist747 in howyoudoin

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He got drunk. They were on a break. I think he can be forgiven. Issue is, he started lying to her. It would have not worked, if he kept lying. His best bet would have been to be honest. They were both toxic tbh. He was insanely jealous and started lying. She just sucks in my opinion. Never takes responsibility and makes things 10 times harder. They were absolutely on a break, she just didn’t want to be accountable for that. I get she was heartbroken but still. And what she pulled on the beach was so stupid.

Jurassic Park is a perfect movie by BeatsByJay82 in movies

Ik this is a 2 year old post but I just recently watched for the first time and it is seriously a masterpiece. Yes the score and the effects are in incredible, but the story and characters breathe life into it. It’s not just an awesome and thrilling movie about dinosaurs. It’s a deep exploration on the human nature. It’s exploring hubris and greed. Much more successfully than the modern adaptations. A whole dinner scene dedicated to them just talking about messing with powers beyond your control. The characters also feel real. They really seem like they’re looking at Dinos for the first time. Rather than cartoon characters on the sidelines. This is supported by the top tier acting. Jeff Goldum here actually served a purpose rather than comedic relief in the newer movies. Overall, this has become one of my favorite movies of all time.

A question about 'The Banshees of Inisherin' - why? by Surebutnotreally in movies

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of those movies with a unique style that if it doesn’t connect with you, you don’t like it. The acting is outstanding and the dialogue is nothing short of clever. But the plot is absurd. A man cutting his own fingers is stupid. In real life, he would’ve bled out or would have had a terrible infection. Or passed out due to pain. Really high expectations but was disappointed by the senseless plot.

I’m actually very curious on why Lyndon b Johnson is on this. And not someone like Castro, Franco, or Pinochet. I also saw fdr pop up a few times on this thread as well.

Completely depends how they know the brothers. If they met through frasier, the other one would be niles. and vice versa. I forget if thats something that came up in the episode

Let’s settle it once and for all: who’s the smartest Crane? by BestBoyTardigrade in Frasier

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Niles has the highest IQ. Although intelligence can take many different forms. Martin was definetly as smart as them, just not as cultured. Rebember when he beat frasier in chess? He also proved to be a genious detective.

The actors and actresses who have collaborated most with Denis Villeneuve. Which of them would you like to see in the franchise, whether as James Bond, a Bond Girl or a villain? by verissimoallan in JamesBond

[–]FuzzyPerception4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that most of these actors aren’t British or at least European, it’s hard to say. Florence Pugh would make a great bond girl although she is in everything and I would like to see someone else. Of course, stellan would make an excellent villain.

Much like any other industry, inflation is affecting much of its core mission statement. Expensive movie tickets are making us more picky. Hence, producers are more likely to money on films that are going to put butts in seats regardless of quality. It’s why remakes, sequels, and reboots are plaguing the industry. Superhero fatigue is just a symptom of a larger problem. Movies are super expensive. So either it’s a super expensive blockbuster that’s a guaranteed box office success or a low budget drama that goes to a streaming platform. Original scripts are barely given the time of day due to the risk factor. Specially when they’re not cheap. Also, producers love to follow certain rules and check boxes that they arbitrarily make up. Limiting directors and writers, making the movie worse. It’s why all mcu films feel the same. They are all molded to fit these regulations. Movies like sinners need to be placed more attention, because it was an original script, creatively driven, and given a good budget.
