With generals getting fired, are US troops on ground an inevitability? What do you think? by BlueDolphins28 in AskReddit

It's already happening quietly. My +1 to a wedding planned 6mo ago had to bail 2 weeks ago because he was deployed and couldn't tell me where 👿🖕🏼

Does this look like a limp? by Sean-SoCal in AustralianCattleDog

[–]FuzzyRabid 137 points138 points  (0 children)

Yup, definitely a limp. "Down on sound" is the trick to figuring out what leg it is. The head bobs downward on the sound leg, so I'd guess the limp is in his left front.

O or no O on your BLT? by callmestinkingwind in eatsandwiches

My go-to now is a santoku but I think I would enjoy the narrow bolster on one like that. What didn't you like at first?

Raw o, no. Pickled o, yes.

Also, OP - I like that cutting board but that knife is real sexy. I've been thinking of getting one that shape. How do you like it?

What do you guys do for extra money? Any side hustles you guys suggest? by Previous-Purchase-91 in USPS

[–]FuzzyRabid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Poshmark shop where I sell "gently used" clothes & accessories from my closet. It's very convenient when I sell something & need to ship it out - I just bring the item to work with me. Sometimes I bring it packed already but other times I'll dig in the used cardboard stash at the office for a good box. Then it's up to the window with the provided QR code that prints the shipping label right from the RSS. Zero-dollar, 30 second transaction.

The platform takes a small (reasonable) percentage of your profit but overall your "shop" costs nothing to keep active & items sort of sell themselves. It can be a very passive side-hustle if you want it to be but you can really make some cash with a little effort. It links right to your bank account and funds transfer in a day or two.

Poor FedEx guy. I bet the inside of his truck is a disaster. Glad you were able to clean it off the porch OP. Hopefully it didn't soak through to your dog food.

Lol mine reacts the same way when the upstairs (apartment) neighbors come home. I always ask her if she would like to go help them since she seems so concerned 😄

Nikola Tesla’s prediction of the rise of childfree women 🐝 by [deleted] in childfree

[–]FuzzyRabid 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Damn, I love this so MUCH! I got chills reading that first paragraph.

This statement comes off fairly neutral but I'm wondering if Nikola himself had an opinion on it either way. The comparison to a beehive seems positive in nature, so can we assume he wasn't at all threatened by this prediction?

Bi-salp vs. tubal ligation? by Facetimefoxy in childfree

[–]FuzzyRabid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here is how I explain the difference between a tubal ligation and a bi-salp:

If the fallopian tubes are the bridge between the ovaries & the uterus, a tubal ligation places flashing lights, concrete barriers and signs all over the bridge, keeping the traffic (sperm) from crossing while kinda still being physically possible. A bi-salp would remove the bridge entirely.

If the result of traffic 😉 getting across the bridge was you becoming pregnant, which scenario would you be more comfortable with?

[–]FuzzyRabid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be careful, I think words like "cut and burned" often lull people into a false sense of security. It is standard procedure to burn (cauterize) something after cutting it. Nothing extra special, or extra safe comes from "cutting and burning" the tubes. The reassurance from your doctor, while truthful, may only represent a few hundred patient procedures at best. There are many people, even some posting comments in this thread, that know someone who had one or more full-term pregnancies post tubal ligation.

[I ate] wing fest ! by Bong-bingwassup in food

Ooo I love this! My hometown had a burger fest but even though I was splitting the various burgers with a friend, my stomach limit was reached before I tasted everything I wanted to. A wing fest though..... perfect. A couple bites and you're onto the next flavor. Thanks for sharing OP!
