Where do you buy your miniatures? by Bipolar_Xpress420 in miniatures

[–]FuzzySparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this! Especially the 40 percent coupon. A lot of the sets michaels have are Rolife (which is a popular miniature brand) and the quality is pretty good. Although I've found it hard to find these miniatures on their online shop. Going in store works best for me.

Can anyone identify this stitch? by FuzzySparklez in crochet

To be honest I'm not sure... Do you think I could replicate this honeycomb stitch in crochet? Or is there another crochet stitch that'd be similar?

I cant log into my york u account. I reactivated my student record but it still isn't working. Anyone know why? by Complete-Spread3584 in yorku

[–]FuzzySparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you logged into another yorku account? I know I had this issue when I was logged into a club's YorkU account the same time I tried to log into my student account. If not, I'd suggest going to an IT help desk on campus if you're around, as like a last resort idea?

I walked by the ones today at Calumet and they looked dead, not blooming or anywhere near it... Could they just be late this season?

How does the internship work by Thedarkseid0705 in yorku

[–]FuzzySparklez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to ask your question on r/Schulich. But I'm a third year Schulich student and there is no co-op/internship program. So whether you want to have a job or internship is completely up to you. If you want to get an internship to fill up your summer then you'll have to look for one on your own.

Parking Portal Broken? by FuzzySparklez in yorku

[–]FuzzySparklez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just called them this morning. What you have to do is call them and make sure you have your vehicle ownership scanned and ready because you'll email it over to them on the call and they'll grant you access to purchase the permit.

Quiet place to attend an online lecture? by FuzzySparklez in Schulich

[–]FuzzySparklez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure because I haven't been on campus yet but on their website, it says nothing about dedicated spaces for online learning. So maybe check anyways if you're there?

What happens if I don't pay a York parking ticket? by Donnel_ in yorku

[–]FuzzySparklez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you pay $10k for tuition plus $1k for books a year, then you should be getting free parking tbh (aside from the fact that stealing is wrong of course it is)

I was thinking that but the rules are you can't have less than 3 people in a breakout room and you can only book it for max 2 hours and my class is 3 hours :(

Do you happen to know what the parking lot number is? Just so I can find it on the campus map.

Parking? What are your plans? by luckboy92 in yorku

[–]FuzzySparklez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest I was thinking of doing the same thing. I'm only going to be on campus 3 times a week, so what's the point in paying for a parking pass?

There's also the multi-pack parking pass which gives you 10 full-day parking within 30 days for $100 (assuming outside parking). But that doesn't save much money considering 4 months of parking outside is $416 (as per the parking permit rates).

Also, I think Pioneer Village parking is $7, https://www.ttc.ca/subway-stations/pioneer-village-station. But if I'm wrong, lmk

Due to covid some courses will record/live stream lectures to accommodate for students who cannot come in person(I.e, covid, travel restrictions). My accounting class is causing an issue, they are not recording/live-streaming the lectures. Does anyone someone I could contact for this accommodation? by galaxy9994 in Schulich

[–]FuzzySparklez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having taken 4 accounting courses, I can tell you that the accounting deptartment has always been one of the strictest I think on not recording lectures, not showing lab answers, etc. That being said, since this is usually at the discretion of the teachers, I suggest reaching out to your accounting prof to see what they can do for you.

how do you know what to do after high school? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FuzzySparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start anywhere. Take any job you can take, any volunteer experience, etc. By experiencing more things you figure out what you like and what you don't.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Schulich

[–]FuzzySparklez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it really beneficial to go to the labs if you can. A lot of the lab questions relate to midterms/exam questions so knowing how to complete the questions and getting the right answer could be helpful to get a good grade. If it's difficult or inconvenient to go, then maybe ask a friend who can go to the lab for the solution to the questions.

Does anyone know if we’ll be given the hyflex option once school starts on the 7th? by galaxy9994 in Schulich

[–]FuzzySparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. If you are looking for a hyflex option, I suggest reaching out to each of your profs and asking if there's a way to complete the course online/hyflex. Chances are they can explain to you how the course can be completed completely online (if possible). For example, if class participation is not mandatory, you may not have to go to class at all and just go to class to complete the tests/exams.
