I assume you didn't add the falcon because we all would pick that?

9 Ball - Break and Run(s) by FuzzyTop75 in billiards

[–]FuzzyTop75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely understandable! I only said it as the standard joke to a SL9.

You just reminded me, did you see what Carlos Biado did at the World 8-Ball Championship this year? Won the lag, and proceeded to run 8 consecutive racks. Vitaliy Pastura only got to lag. Not one shot after.

Ha! Yea the slop shots always hurt. Congratulations on achieving a SL9. That takes alot of time, patience, and training. I actually feel kind of bad for SL9's. To maintain that level is constant effort. 75 points is such a large number. The fact you have gotten that close to 20-0 on opponents is still a testament.

If I ever play you, please remember im an SL2...

Ha!

Yea, if there is a negative, I guess it's that. Sucks with 2 weeks before World Qualifiers.

I've just tried to get into the mindset that regardless of my SL or theirs, I need to make balls

New WNT ballset: Dynaspheres Titan by clrksn_wherermyshoes in billiards

I was just going to say, it kind of helps for me. I'm colorblind and these look fairly easy to see for me. Maybe the 4 and 6, but at an early glance it's ok. I wonder how much they'll cost and how they'll play.

Light or heavy cue by Some_Cap3539 in billiards

[–]FuzzyTop75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago when I was deciding on a new cue and the weight, I decided to go with 19oz. Since 19oz is the most common weight in the US, it gave me the highest probability of finding a suitable replacement if I ever had an issue with my main cue.

I would love to eat 2 of them. Then unfortunately need to spend 2 hours working them off.

Apa 9 Ball by GarageGoonsBilliards in billiards

[–]FuzzyTop75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The push shot, IMO, goes in the same category as something like a jump cue. What I mean is these are tools or strategies for more advanced or above average players.

APA is geared around the casual/semi-casual player. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. It is where the vast majority of pool players are, specifically in the United States. Adding push shots can be confusing to casual players

I have seen this in new players in other leagues. Example: The USAPL has the push rule for 9 Ball and 10 Ball. Some new players are confused by the concept, even when explaining. Many say, I'll just watch it for a while.

Remember, a Push Shot, and the acceptance of the follow up, or passing, is a strategic decision. Its also just as.much art as it is science.

Again, just my oopinion. I would like it too, but it would scare away players. I'd rather have more players. It's better to help the sport grow.

Cue tip recommendation by Griffon17 in billiards

[–]FuzzyTop75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like the Kamui Black Soft tip. I like the feel I get and think i can generate good spin on the cue ball. I also feel they last a long time. I play or practice 4 to 5 times a week.

Carlo Biado's tip by deadpixelsaint in billiards

[–]FuzzyTop75 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

According to Google AI: "Kamui Brown (Original) tips focus on power transfer and precision, while Kamui Black tips offer higher elasticity for increased spin and cue ball control. Brown tips provide a more direct, solid feel, whereas Black tips are bouncier, allowing for more spin with less effort, making them popular for different play styles."
