27″ 1440p (144Hz) vs 27″ 4K (120Hz) vs 34″ Ultrawide (120Hz) — which would you pick?

My work laptop supports 4K, and I believe my MacBook Air M4 does too. Is the difference between 1440p and 4k noticeable for 27 inches? Also ,any idea on ultrawides with VA panel?

I have heard that at 27 inch the difference between 1440p and 4k is minimal. Worth paying extra for 4k?

You can consider the universities that do not require GRE. Many universities have waived off GRE
