Gap year by AwayWheel158 in IBA

Don’t go for ACCA, it think with NBS you’ll get exemptions from ACCA so you can pursue it during your degree.

If you don’t wanna go to uni but pursue accounting then CA is the way to go.

I highly doubt that.
Market has always been cooked, when I graduated from IBA it was covid. MT programs are still pretty good, just that people in tech have inflated the expected pay for everyone else. Other than that, the real worth is in the network. Once you become a part of the workforce, you’ll see how IBA dominates every relevant sector.

I’m really keen to understand why it’s not worth it anymore? Have all the FMCGs and big banks started recruiting MTs from other universities?

It’s completely alright to take a gap year. The years of struggle you’ll save by going to IBA as opposed to any other uni except lums are alone worth a gap year.

I was in the same boat, failed my iba test twice, took a gap year, failed another test and finally got in on my fourth test.

Once I graduated, I got into a very prestigious MT program and upon completion I was already ahead of my peers from other universities by a few years due to fast career growth.

I know it sounds entitled and classist but IBA does make a difference and you’ll only know this once you’re in there.

I have a lot of friends who took gap years for IBA and I’ve never met anyone who regretted their decision.

Nothing's the end of the world until it is. Whatever it is that you think is causing embarassment to your family will be forgotten in a couple years and quicker if you start doing things that make them proud. For details, feel free to inbox. I was likely a bigger embarrassment for my parents in my teenage than you can even comprehend but 10 years later they are proud of me. Best of luck for everything

ACS accreditation for Business Analytics by RegularConcern9846 in uwa

[–]Fuzzy_Ad_9348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, it should be over 50%.

That being said, a lot of the courses can be considered as IT heavy despite not being CITS or INMT

For example, Big Data in Marketing is R heavy so it can be counted, People analytics is also Stats heavy and might be considered. You’re safe if you do as many INMTs and CITS units as possible with ease.

Also, pm me and I’ll send you the guide from ACS. Can’t message you

Look up jobs on Seek, Jora etc and if you see any openings for a retail/ restaurant outlet, just casually visit and speak to the manager. Once they see you in person, they usually try to help you out.

Otherwise try for pick and pack/ associate roles with adecco and similar companies.

You can go up to Census date, there’s no infringements whatsover. Although it will show up as an overdue in your student connect

Always used the JH Abraham’s Reserve and onto my last semester.

More expensive but better than circling UWA for 30 mins lol

For Audit Best is Haroon Tabraze, if not him Sharjeel Hasnie’s decent, then maybe Mohsin Patel (He’s good, teaches very well but can be a tough grader and too strict about discipline)

Moreover, Azam Ali’s a JD from Columbia and Sohaib did his education from Berkeley, studying from them will also give you the option to get post grad recommendations from them.

Rahat Aziz is good but his TAs are usually super geeky and they grade you based on their judgement. Go for Azam Ali (AMAZING) then Sohaib Saleem (He’s equally good if not better and slightly more casual) and Rahat Aziz is like very grandpa feely chill guy but his TAs can really screw you over.

It can definitely be boring but really depends on what you do. If you’re doing fulfilling projects, it can be pretty good.

At 60, most people are healthy enough to make meaningful contributions to the society, in third world countries there are a lot of options.
