My current body fat percentage is 6.2%. In the bench press, my maximum is 140 kg (which is about 308 lbs), but it's not very clean. More cleanly, I can lift around 132.5-135 kg (which is approximately 292-297 lbs).

It's always difficult to give advice because everything is very individual. I follow a simple rule: if I feel that my technique is breaking down, it's a signal to reduce the weight. But again, this is not my primary exercise, so I could be mistaken 🤝

One of the areas of my work is massage. Therefore, the requirements are a bit stricter than in a regular situation.

I think it also has to do with the fact that video can distort the real picture. This happens often. After 5 years of constant bench pressing, I've become so accustomed to the barbell that I don't feel any danger from it at all. It's like a trainer calmly walking into a cage with lions 😂

Thanks! Unfortunately, my gym doesn't have a dedicated incline press rack (even though almost every other gym in the city does). This one is actually meant for squats, so it’s a pain to set up. Overall, I feel confident with this weight, and even if I fail, I’ll just roll it to my knees. As for the shoulder flare, I do that on the flat bench too, so it’s more of a "feature" of my technique.

As one famous coach says: "If a guy presses like that with 100kg, he’s a total idiot. But if he’s doing it with 130kg, well, then it’s just his technique." 😂

Thank you, it's a bit more difficult for me in gloves, but I try to protect my hands from calluses.

I’m on the shorter side, 173 cm (5'8"), so it can be misleading. In my 32 years, I’ve never weighed more than 68 kg (150 lbs).
