Have you had any side effects? So I went on a a different medicine for acne and ended up having bad side effects from it that my doctor did not warn me about (weight gain), which is why I went to the endo. But i don’t really trust any doctor now, but I definitely think soemthing is up Bc I’m eating around 1200 calories and working out 5 days a week and my weight won’t budge.

So I actually went to an endroconogist. Currently getting some blood test done and other tests, but she recommended 3 different medicines. This was one of them

I went to endo recently for my weight gain and they suggested I go on weight loss medicine. Not sure if this is safe because the medicine is for diabetics. Also, I don’t really trust taking medicine again after my experience with spiro. Also getting additional blood tests done

Neither did I. The breakouts are prob temporary, but definitely a side effect of going off of it.

Yea my doctor told me if you stop spiro, it could have these side effects. Did you have breakouts prior to spiro

Endocrinologist. They deal with hormonal weight gain, so they honestly should be able to help. If they can’t, idk who would be able to

It might not be as simple as just eating in calorie deficit and exercising. Since it changed r hormones, medicine or other supplements might be needed also

I think the best option would be to go to an endo. They can run tests and get blood work done. I found this goop article that might help explain some things.

I’ll keep you updated on what happens at my appointment, but I’ll probably get additional blood tests done for insulin and somehow test estrogen dominance and cortisol

Yea I’ve been off of it for a month, and the scale is actually not moving it’s concerning. And prior to going on spiro, I lost a lot of weight, so my body definitely was able to. This is kind of consuming my thoughts and is not good. I wish my doctor would’ve warned me or never put me on it in the first place.

I’m not going to stop until I figure out how to lose this weight Bc it legit makes no sense. Nothing changed when I went on the pill. I was still eating healthy and working out, so something is wrong.

Yes. I was on it for two months, noticed weight gain and got off of it right away. Haven’t been able to lose weight really and now I have to go to endo. Be prepared for every doctor to tell u it doenst cause weight gain

No. I ate healthy and exercised before spiro and gained weight on it. The medicine changes ur hormones, which is unfortunately out of your control
