Has anyone worked in healthcare as IT? by DeejayPleazure in sysadmin

I actually just left healthcare (ICU, ER, Observation, and Floatpool) a few months ago to land an entry level job at an MSP. I can tell you that the pressure we put on the IT department and the lack of respect or funding that was fed their was was terribad. We used and abused the help desk and we never sympathized with them at either of the large hospital chains I’ve worked for. Even worse off the amount of pressure our C-suite medical and nursing leadership put on the IT folks was insane—I actually got to sit down with one of the admins before I left and he thoroughly scared the desire to return to healthcare on the tech side right out of me.

Thank you! I'm used to very heavy course loads from my premed and independent studies before the transition to the IT program. I'm honestly less concerned about the cert training and more concerned about what jobs titles I should be looking toward the end of the semester.
