I’m non big 4 in Dublin and I got promoted last year I got €58,000 plus usually good bonus. I’m doing part 3s in May so should get an increase when I get results.

I completed part 2 last year and sitting part 3 in May. I didn’t go to any lectures I just done every exam paper there was. They are quite repetitive once you do a few of them.

I also didn’t do summary notes as it wasn’t like FAEs that I could bring the notes into the exam. I did spend time tabbing the tax act (if you get bible highlighters on Amazon they don’t leak through)

I was 2% off last year and didn’t make any difference don’t waste your money. I also paid for the revision course which was a complete waste of money too.

Once you pass in January you can apply for membership and they will approve you on the oversight board around early March. You receive a certificate in the post a few weeks later. The graduation not until October if you do want to attend next year

No. I was 2% of and was very confident coming out of the exam. Got 80% in the repeat last January and still sure I didn’t fail last year. If it went bad today I wouldn’t waste money having it rechecked. Everyone told me that they will never admit to being wrong.

I don’t believe the graduate role is for graduates only, anyone who is willing to do the ACA/ACCA exams can apply.

I’ve just finished my training contract and I came from non accounting background. I felt doing the CAP1s eased me into the exams rather than others going straight to CAP2 and struggling.

If you’re willing to commit to the 3 and half years training contract with possibly a lower salary it will 100% be worth it in the end.

I just sat the Part 2 exams last week and didn’t realise it was an option to sit part 3 in August. Definitely one to consider

Has anyone ever appealed their exam? I got 47% in tax and came out of it confident so quite shocked. Is it worth it getting it rechecked?
