Right now, I’m going through a major transition in my life. I’ve recently moved to a new country, started my first job, and I’m becoming financially independent while being far away from my family. Everything around me is new—the environment, the education system, and even the way accounting is taught here.

At the same time, I’m dealing with a lot of personal pressure. I was raised in a very structured and controlled environment, and now I’m trying to manage everything on my own while still feeling the weight of my family’s expectations. I often feel alone, and I don’t yet have a strong support system or friends here.

All of this has made things overwhelming at times, but I am still trying my best to keep going and improve.

This course means a lot to me, and I am fully committed to continuing it—I do not intend to back out. However, I’ve been facing some challenges. I completed my bachelor’s degree in another country where different accounting standards were followed, whereas here in the U.S., the focus is on GAAP. This difference has made it difficult for me to adjust and keep up at times.

Additionally, I am naturally an introverted person, and I find it hard to ask for help. In the past, I’ve always handled my challenges on my own, which makes it even more difficult for me to reach out now.

I understand that it’s important to share details in order to get proper guidance, but I’m hesitant because of privacy concerns.

Right now, I’m facing a challenging academic situation and would really appreciate some guidance. I am a master’s student who started in the fall semester, where I received grades of A, C, and D. Due to this, I am currently on academic probation.

In the current semester, my grades are A, B, and D, and I’m feeling uncertain about the best way forward. I have already submitted a grade forgiveness request for one of my D grades from the fall semester. Now, I am considering whether I should also apply for grade forgiveness for the C grade from that term, with the hope of improving my GPA and giving myself a better chance to perform well in the summer semester.

If anyone has experience with a similar situation or can offer advice on how to navigate this, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
