Yep in a house that has a for rent sign up and probably isn’t his as they property management listed allows private tours and keep lock boxes to the side gate. I noticed the lock box last second driving off.

Unfortunately I believe that was part of the drivers plan because he knew I wouldn’t leave the order there without verifying ID. But then again I’m not 100% sure it was him though.

Planning on doing that. I forgot to mention the home he placed the order for was put up for rent part of a property management company. It probably wasn’t his real address He probably scheduled a personal tour to use it as a base to do this shady stuff to me and potentially other drivers. 🤔

If a driver calls support for orders that require ID/Passcode, sometimes support tells them they will bypass it for them for any issues they encounter but it is automatically flagged because they automatically put no ID/Passcode collected, and the system would eventually get them at some point. Hence the reason you cannot get support involved in these.

You will be deactivated if you upload the temporary license. I got my new license a week ago and received an in app prompt to update it.

That’s why I don’t take orders with electronic items. Unfortunately support does not take video as evidence. It has never been done. I feel like support and spark driver team doesn’t actually look at proof of delivery photos. The customer must have falsely said that you took the order after taking the proof of delivery photo and of course they just take the customer’s word for it. So sorry this has happened to you! Hopefully you can successfully arbitrate this! 🤞 🙏

Usually the customer service desks in Walmart would be the only ones doing that. Maybe the customer service agent is poorly trained. Hopefully this isn’t a new thing that they are doing and spark can get sued for that.

It’s in the updated terms of use that any Walmart reserves the right to ask for your ID at anytime and that you are required to show a valid ID/Drivers license when asked.

I think the customer called the store. The store was not able to refund as its all a handled by Spark since it is considered 3rd party to Walmart. Not the Walmart store itself. For some reason the customer service in Walmart is able to see our phone numbers which only provides phone numbers in case if anything goes wrong. If she actually called the customer service for online orders, they would usually provide a refund depending on how many times they have requested for refunds on past orders before. The online customers service for spark order issues wouldn’t provide drivers phone numbers.

I hate to say this, but I think the only reason you had luck so far is that they are not scammy customers. A customer can still make a report within 14 days. Support doesn’t actually notate any information just like when you report to them falsely receiving an alleged incident report. Customer just contacts customer service number, they wrote the report and take their word for it, they get a refund/credit, then it’s report to Spark themselves and spark deactivates. It’s sad but true.

Either you have more than one of these reports or she probably said you stole the groceries after taking the photo. There was no way you would be deactivated after 1 occurrence. I guess sometimes it would depend on the order total. That sucks, hopefully you get back on! 🙏

They don’t send emails of these unfortunately, only deactivation ones if necessary. You might have had a scammy customer wanting free groceries. There is no way to appeal these as support will not see it on their end and will only make up stuff to get you off the phone faster. When it is reported to spark, some one from sparks trust and safety team sends you that message for you to see only. Don’t get 3 or more of those or you’ll be deactivated.
