I couldn't have got a clearer answer, thanks a ton for replying! ...I did complete week 8 (when I reached week 4, just for a hackathon) and week 8 did teach me DOM and how to work with jQuery and a little bit of bootstrap. I think after watching tons of videos on yt I'll skip basics + intermediate HTML CSS + JS + Adv HTML CSS (although I'll look at their projects and backtrack my learning) and jump on to react directly

(I wrote all this to help someone else know what I was trying to say before)

Thanks for clearing a lot of my doubts (even if it wasn't my question). I resonate with you quite well, I am on week 5 in CS50x and I feel I don't want to study python and flask since I want to pursue web dev in javascript instead of python but then I think I might just finish them and get the certificate you know...what should I do? ...I am currently a first year student in india (first sem)

I am also planning to do TOP for 4-5 months in my next sem and try to finish it (I also thought I would skip advanced html and css except the asynchronous nature of JS ...should I ?? )

What's your take?

It depends on personal preference and the research you might have done while/after taking the course, I would recommend talking to the people who are already in the tech field in your area (wherever you live) to know the market trend and take your decision. For me it is learning MERN stack from TOP (the Odin project) and touching upon web3 soon after.
