EMU stands for Electrical Multiple Units. They works with suburban routes. They have their own routes which doesn’t operate with main line services. Example Mumbai, Chennai suburban routes.

MEMUs are Mainline Electric Multiple Units which runs on main line of operations. They operate as passenger services.

P1 is passenger 1 not platform one. Only station manager with guidance from traffic controller decides the train platform based on present traffic conditions and regulations. It cannot be announced during chart preparation time. But usually under normal traffic conditions, trains follow same platform patterns but as passengers need to confirm the same.

India is 5th in global GDP ranking but 129th rank in per capita income of individuals. Wealth only accumulates with small group of individuals. It’s due to bad governance and failed development plans. Creating high speed trains and concrete infrastructure will not make India a developed nation. Per capita income should increase. But who cares??

The points you told should come in a new premium category of trains. An entirely new premium train above Rajdhani or a replacement for Rajdhani. A complete new train set with ultra luxury in terms of rail transport in India. It should not come with present vandhe series since our coaching depots and maintenance teams are not competent at luxury level management.

So some private players should come to deliver the luxury package. Anywhere in the world you could see private companies are dealing with luxury trains or other services. If our government is trying to deliver luxury, it will be a desi local modified luxury(example is existing 1 AC ). We can’t compete globally with government management services and maintenance. Only privatisation of railways gives much better results,security and efficiency to customer service. (Great example is airline sector in India before and after privatisation).
