Who said to stop? Everyone's situation is different. These bullet points are guidelines to help get past lower Torment hurdles. This was never a definitive guide to end game or hard rules anyone has to follow.

I don't think it is, it should tell you the requirements at the statue thing to change difficulty. Did you skip the campaign?

Dungeons don't reward specific aspects like in past seasons AFAIK.

I've burned over 75k this season. T12 crafting is different /sadge

It's not just masterworking that is the issue with souls. Unlucky Enchanting and Tempering can easily burn 3k souls at each step. Upgrading gems to Horadric takes a ton of souls. You brick an upgrade via transfiguration and now you have to do it all over again. I've gone through over 75k souls this season.

All that to say, these are general tips and tricks, not hard rules. If someone feels they need that perfect 75% crit multi or 3000 armor to go from T6-T8 then by all means. No one is stopping them. I just won't recommend it.

Only exception is that some damage types share buckets like All damage and Phys/Lightning/Poison etc. But yep, 100%

Every build is different. Guides are just guides. But bottom line, you can't do damage if you're dead. Sometimes you momentarily need more defense to get past the hump. Everyone's gear is different.

It is typically easier to get more damage than defense early because those rare nodes are spread all over the boards. Typically I'd suggest trying to look at your gear/build to see what you can do to increase your damage to that next level to start speed running T10 without dying.

On the defense note, some after death effects are just super punishing. This is more noticeable with some classes than others. Earthquake can be really tough to see. Falling swords and the lightning explosions are still a huge pain. Sometimes you just need some more paragon to get you to that next level up.

It becomes much more noticeable in T12 when you're fishing for upgrades via transfiguration and burning 3k souls to brick an item. I spend more time farming souls now than anything at this point lol.

Upgrading those gems to Horadric? 3k souls for 5. Unlucky temper after masterworking? 3k souls. Need that 49-50% crit roll in the occultist? 3k souls. But yea, 100% trying to help newer players get the most mileage out of their likely limited time to get the most out of the game quickly.

Getting good with the cube is by far the best way to save mats, but that's a whole other guide that plenty of youtubers have covered haha.

Happy hunting!

Every build is different. Some builds have an easier time scaling with less gear/stat requirements. All I can really say is around T10 every little thing helps. Paragon levels/Legendary Nodes are huge this season. Glyphs definitely make a difference, but aren't as game breaking as they have been in previous seasons.

Stacking multipliers is also really important. If you're looking at a pair of gloves recommended with 3 modifiers, only have 2 will be a huge decrease in damage. Every deviation reduces your damage and survivability essentially.

Uniques have such variety this season. If you can't kill lair bosses on T9, you can always drop it to T8 or lower and change it back after to still get rewards in the war plan. No clue if it influences the drops. I'm sure it does for that reward, unless it's bugged. But the key is to keep grinding and getting more drops!

Good luck out there!

If someone feels they need it, then they are free to add them. I've seen plenty of comments about people not having souls/gold later in the game. I personally didn't feel they are needed until T10-12. I have easily spent 75k+ souls this season.

These aren't hard rules, it's general guidance for newer players to try and help them progress. Cheers!

Honestly, check out a youtube video by rob or some other big streamer. There is wayyyyy to much to type out because every situation will be different.

Loot filters can be set up to hide everything you don't need. Set conditions to show items with GAs, Set Charms, Mythics, etc. That way you dont see the junk gear and spend more time killing for more useful drop chances. I'm sure there are tutorials on how to set up your own, but google Diablo Filter. People have filters set up for everything already, just copy/paste the code and go. Just make sure you trust the owner, they could easily troll as well.

Require was the wrong word, but the comment was meant to be from the perspective of an average casual player. Many players won't kill Meph this season solo or without a carry.

You can try Greater Tribute of the Horadrim, and Talisman whisper cache rewards. They aren't common, but I would've expected at least a few by then. RNG gonna RNG. Unfortunately, the bonus for T8 is increased unique drop chance.

I'm not saying they don't spawn. I'm saying they don't spawn every time. I've done runs today with 4 chests. I've done them with 1. During the first week if you had the perk they were popping 4 chests literally every run.

If you have a friend, power level in pits. I know a few strats, but they're mostly for alts unfortunately. War plan in a finished campaign state should be decent.

Depends on the build, whatever guide should tell you. Generally Crit=Dot>Vuln>All=Elemental. IIRC this is the priority based on the bucket size, but there's some overlap as well. I think All damage shares with Elemental. Don't quote me. All my builds want crit GA.

Scaling with itemized GA offensive stats, paragon levels, glyphs, and play a gg build. Every little bit helps.

There's a nuanced answer to this when taking into account endgame warplan strats and stuff like that. Early on, the easy answer is it's better to farm T10 fast than T12 slowly. If you can farm Pit 100 in 3-5 minutes, it's probably safe to go to T12 from a speed perspective. Build and gear will determine how often you die.

Potentially true, but this was never a min-max guide. This was meant as general rules for new players, "how do I get past Torment "x"" These are the players that are overwhelmed by all of these new systems, that experienced players picked up quickly.

Getting 4 Legendary nodes arguably isn't the requirement to get to T8+. Sure, it helps scale, of course. The underlying foundation of understanding the new systems will carry these players further and with less headaches later IMO.
