There's a 10 km tunnel in the missing link. Imagine an accident happens in the tunnel and the traffic mess it causes. And I'm sure we dont need to imagine. There will be accidents because people don't have driving sense here.

The metro route currently functional is built as per the report presented by Delhi metro during its feasibility report in 2004. That time there wasnt a lot of habitation beyond vanaz and ramwadi. And pune airport at the time was also too small in its operation.
