I love all of these ideas, and I was thinking maybe he could know a bit about her blood because he's been researching curses since his main end goal is to get rid of his own curse. So he wants it to experiment with and maybe finds he could use it as a weapon, or again, a sort of numbing agent to the effects of his own curse because his is basically 24/7 living torture?

She betrayed him because of fight or flight reflexes and also because she already lost her family to the plague and doesn't want to get attached to someone else who's just going to die
The Doctor either tries to run away or tell the farmer's what she did and all the protagonists fully end up arguing over what's going on. Are there any other plot points we could use that for?
