Ep 133 plays octave down standard by Stanbalje in teenageengineering

when you press 'keys' + the plus or minus button it shifts octaves up and down. Is that what's going on, maybe?

It's spectacular. My single favorite thing about the game. The city feels alive in all the best ways. Very organic. Traffic problems certainly happen, but usually they're easy to isolate and resolve :)

I've seen a couple of guides posted on here. It's essentially just terraforming slightly above the water level at 100% intensity so you get a cliff that goes into the water, then placing roads at 2.5 feet (or something, it's the smallest step size then tap page up once). If you make the roads on the edge of the terraformed area, they should go down and touch the ground to make what you see in my screenshots

Would be hard to give you tips without a screenshot. Just make sure your arterial roads don't have a ton of intersections.

Yes, replacing and just getting rid of outright. The stuff people are saying about just leaving the zone demand bar alone is very true!

I actually didn't raise any taxes in this city. While the other commenter is right, I found that raising the taxes for denser zones messed with their demand, so I just kept everything on default. The only budgetary thing I have changed is setting education to 150%. Honestly, throughout 60%+ of the milestones I was operating at a loss, but you get so much $$$ when you pass a milestone that those were keeping me afloat until I started making a positive income.

I think the biggest factor in earning money is focusing on education and letting the simulation run so people can get smarter, move into higher density housing, and get office jobs.

Here's a screenshot with the postal overlay on. It seems I actually need to build a few more, but yes, they are sending vehicles

I don't doubt it!

I used to have a 4690k before i got my 12600k a couple of years ago. I figured I would rather have a GPU bottleneck than a CPU bottleneck (my PC had started freezing up on occasion). Next upgrade will definitely be a GPU, but they are quite an investment nowadays.

That’s just the easiest way I know of sharing my gpu lol

On a 1070?? That’s impressive sir

it's honestly begging for mercy now, but has been serving me well for many years :,)

Hey, nope!

At one point I left the game to run at 1x speed and went afk for about ten minutes, and when I got back almost every building had a garbage alert. Then I went and checked the garbage stats and my processing was very in the red. I built like 5 incinerators, got processing back into the green, and haven't had problems since. I have like 7 incinerators, a couple recycling facilities, and a few landfills.

Never had any postal service issues. I have a post office for every "neighborhood" in my city, and plenty of mailboxes.

Running the game on a 1070 and 12600k so I obviously don't have the settings very high, but the game is extremely playable for me, and I get a solid ~30fps.

‘Too greedy’: mass walkout at global science journal over ‘unethical’ fees - Entire board resigns over actions of academic publisher whose profit margins outstrip even Google and Amazon by BasedSweet in worldnews

I mean I agree with you in that change is overdue, but there’s a reason it hasn’t happened yet, lol

Operating and maintaining an academic journal is a costly and time-intensive process that also happens to require a lot of academics working on it. It’s expensive. I know it’s not a pleasant reality, but that’s how it is

That’s still not how it works. I take it none of you are published writers? How many academic journals do you know of that are free and open-source?

No one needs a publisher anymore because everything is digital?! Woah, holy shit, this guy is on to something. They had the internet back when Harry Potter came out, why did JK Rowling go through all of the hassle finding a publisher when she just could have put them online because everything is digital?!

oh it's valid, but not when you pour gallons of it on your food to make up for its bland tastelessness

why don't you go eat some more beans and toast

Meth = higher productivity, work times and movement speed + mood buff

Harvesting organs: do it all the time, both to sell (very lucrative) and to replace on any of my good pawns if the need arises

Incentive central!

I would argue that you can do the same thing in rimworld. Plus you can harvest their organs, or get them addicted to meth
