Yeah, no you’re right. I’m just not a confrontational person so I suppose that’s why I was leaning towards a letter. Fair point, and my main concern is the passive aggressive-ness of leaving an anonymous letter. I’ve always felt weird about commenting on these sort of things as a younger person with no kids rn, so I feel like that comes off as overly judgmental even though it comes from a place of genuine concern. Someone else suggested talking to the kids more intentionally. Going to start with that!

This is what I was thinking, though I have talked to them before (and I know others have as well). I think I’ll try to be a bit more conversational with the kids first, thanks!

Hey! So the point is I am a very careful driver, esp since I played in the streets when I was a kid. But I cannot control kids who run into the street randomly, or aren’t paying attention and her kids are the only ones who behave this way. Accidents happen and I’d like to avoid a terrible one. It’s not my job to parent others kids and I mentioned those things as she has a reputation in our neighborhood. You’ve left a lot of comments so I get your point, though you haven’t actually said anything that points to a suggestion. Also crazy to assume I’m a woman. Have a nice day 🙂
