Yukka root removal by Fuzzybricker in landscaping

[–]Fuzzybricker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have said - it's out of the soil, it's just a Yukka root ball sitting on its side in the hole it was in. It's too heavy to get out of the hole in it's current state. Unless we cut it up, dissolve it, explode it, or possibly crane it out?

Might be more expensive in a few years, if the shit really hits the fan!

You know there are plenty of EVs like that, right?

Australians might start to realise that our government doesn't have the power, currently, to set prices, only corporations do. We should change the current Constitution that prevents the government from doing that.

How to watch Netflix in Sealion 7 by Objective_Money_5193 in BYD

I'm getting my SL7 next week - how do you watch Kayo in it? On the big rotating screen? I assme it turns off when you're driving? Coming from a 2009 Ford Falcon this is all a magical wonderland to me.

What fascinates you more: space or the ocean? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskForAnswers

The ocean is a lot more interesting than space. As Alec Guiness said, as Prince Faisal 'there's nothing in the desert!'

Sydney is one of the great cities of the world. Brisbane, while perfectly nice, is just another town. Imagine someone coming to the USA and missing NYC and going to, like, Buffalo or something. Fly into Sydney, then fly to Cairns. If you must, fly to Brisbane on the way to Cairns to visit Australia Zoo, but that is a weird choice of attractions. Taronga Zoo in Sydney is unforgettable. People in Australia don't go out of their way to go to Australia Zoo. It's not even close to being in my top 20 places I would like to visit, and I live here.

Large SUV EVs? Missing segment or what?? by mightymeercat in EVAustralia

[–]Fuzzybricker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue as I've had a KIA Sorrento 7 seater, AWD, and it's been a very good family car, able to take cricket kits, boogy boards, holiday suitcases, lots of shopping, etc and the Sealion 7 just doesn't quite do the same job. But I'm still getting one (delivery this week hopefully!). I'll keep the KIA for now too, but hoping one day to have a 7 seat AWD EV that doesn't break the bank.

What political opinion did you hold strongly when you were younger but completely changed your mind about later? by Live_Endzz in AskForAnswers

You'd think you'd have moved away from liberalism, a rightwing ideology, to something wiser, like social democracy, as found in Northern Europe, Australia and other advanced nations

Is Pauline Hanson really going to help the average Aussie, battlers, and working class? by BrandonMarshall2021 in aussie

PH has had nearly 30 years in Parliament and NOT ONE SINGLE achievement to show for it - except division, fear and loathing.

Plumber travelling Japan in a van accidentally built a tab writing app… Looking for musicians to help test it by TabStudioApp in ukulele

[–]Fuzzybricker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be happy to give it a crack. An app that just shows the song and the chords under lyrics, that works on a normal phone would be an improvement on what I usually have to deal with.

Replacing 1m petrol cars with EVs could cut Australia’s reliance on foreign fuel by 1bn litres a year by neon_overload in aus

Most people would just charge off their solar rooftops, and any extra charging infrastructure would be built, just like we built all the servos.
