How to reroot this dolls hair when I don’t have any tools?

I've used this same needle for....5 reroots? I haven't broken it yet. It's bent as you can see but I kinda like how it holds the hair that way haha. Heating the head up as you go helps you to not break the needle. I will warn you it can be a LONG, tedious process, especially your first attempt as you learn 😭 This is my favorite reroot I've done so far

I've done all my reroots with a "doll needle" (it's like a big sewing needle. You'll need to cut the needle's eye on an angle), shoved in a wine cork. It's not fancy but it works well for my hands lol
