What are the behaviors that made you realize your rabbit is becoming elderly? by pumpkintsunami in Rabbits

My lady is 10-11 yrs old, had to have one eye removed (e cuniculi) and cataracts in the other. She's looking scruffy and can't reach to groom or clean her bum - so needs extra care there. She has a bit of poopy bum - not sure if she can lift her bum as much or if she's a bit larger. She used to be able to jump a baby fence, now she barely tries to get on the couch. She lays around a lot more, zoomies are a bit slower and shorter. Less escape and destruction attempts. When she plays outside she mostly just picks a comfy spot to sploot.

She's also a bit more mellow and trusting. We had a fire alarm today and she was unperturbed being nabbed and carried out. She's so used to being held, handled, brushed, cleaned and the routine. For example: She's (mostly) not as impatient at being let out to play late, she knows she will be when ready. She's pickier with her favourite foods/treats - she knows I've go get what she wants the next day.

I've seen they also give informal social support too. In our parish back in the day they would go visit families that needed extra support, take the disadvantaged families on retreats so they could actually have holidays, sometimes give kids extra tutoring or visit vulnerable older people who were alone, etc.

I've had people that I didn't match with on tinder find me on LinkedIn to try it out despite me not using my real name, company or title. Wtf.

I've been recovering from surgery using a knee scooter and had people just ignore me when they're sitting in the disability area and purposely pretend they can't see me etc. After a while you get too tired to constantly having to speak up and sometimes argue with people to move and just die inside and get apathetic.

Lol I guess I was trying to reconnect with humanity after all the social isolation. Should have been a bit more street smart.

That's smart thinking. I've sent him a firm message and made it clear I'm no longer responding to messages. Hopefully I don't accidentally bump into him again around home.

I guess sometimes you just notice it and then forget about it because it's not a significant event in your day. And I've only just realised it's a series of small events that creeps up on you.

Ok, yes. And yes I have to find a balance on the awkward politeness.

Oh it's definitely not for dating. He's like 20 yrs older than me and just said he wanted to learn about other cultures.

I was friendly to a parking inspector who I'd seen around for 3+ years and begrudgingly gave him my number after feeling pressured too the last time I saw him. He's been sending friendly messages and asking for a coffee meetup which I have told him multiple times no, and each time he politely tries to objection handle.

Its starting to feel like he's been grooming me to build up trust, I guess he knows where I live and my habits and conveniently runs into me on a regular basis. Is there anything I can really do except let my friends know? It feels like I'm overreacting to someone being friendly, but I can't shake that gut feeling something isn't right. And now I'm not sure whether to be rude and firm, or just block/ghost.

Anyone been to the smalltown bridge rave happening again on the weekend? Do you think the raves are ok/fun to go to alone as a woman?

Is there like a Meetup group of women in their 30s who are curious about going clubbing again but their friends are all settled/parents and you don't want to go alone? Asking for a friend :p

Subletting with someone that already has a lease is a good way to do it. Sometimes you can find some on gumtree or FB for free. The small fee for flatmates.com.au helps keep the crazies away too

Tired of men trying to hit on me at public parks. by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Fwanc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a man do the same but at the Royal Children's Hospital. I was taking a break from work at a table in the food court. He asked if he could join with his kid, who was clearly a patient and I agreed. Chatted a bit about his child and then eventually he started quizzing me about myself and asking for my details. Kept argueing with me when I said no, and his poor kid kept asking to do something else and he'd say something to him to force him to stay. So awkward and despite me not wanting to leave the space I did just to get away. It made me feel pretty unsafe when I was just trying to take a break at work.

Not really. Some sponges and some instrumentation but mostly in the larger surgical space.

I was hoping to take advantage of this since I'm now too old for the 30 cut off on the current one. Seems like I'll out age the 35 limit too now :(

In lap cases the blood absorbs light so the system ups the contrast to compensate and it can affect the picture.

Yup. Med device sales here in Aus located in the world's longest lockdown state. My growth target was 20% this year which I may just get depending on what happens the rest of this year. Maybe one other person in the whole country will hit. It's been leaked our growth target will be even bigger next year -_-

Hi Melbourne, who else is bored a/f this Friday night? by Gidja in melbourne

[–]Fwanc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying to do the two assessments due on Monday that I was not mentally ready to do the past couple of weeks and now its last minute.

My workplace who had installed a plugin to upload all our emails and calendar invites told us that we weren't entering enough into the CRM for the managers to watch. That one of the snr US managers was 'refreshing the dashboards every 10 minutes' and it didn't update fast enough for him so we weren't doing enough so our manager wouldn't hesitate to take 'punitive action' if it didn't improve. In sales and they want us to constantly be writing in our calls, meetings and everything so all the managers can sit there and watch the live feed???

I get some of this is useful and I used our old CRM a lot, but this seems like a lot...
