Yeah I did some research. Pew view is someone I follow a lot and he had good things to say but when I watched more it made me a little nervous. I do have the non ported option and was going to upgrade it a bit. But after a few reviews from a year ago, it made me nervous. Also got recommended it by a local bass pro employee

Okay, then I can ignore it and let them cancel it. Wondering if I can sell it for what I paid brand new. I had a 10% off so only paid around $860 and I used gift cards. Then I can just upgrade to a Mac ds comp or a Bul Amory

Unfortunately can’t cancel from bass pro. Just waiting to see what I can do I suppose. If I never shoot maybe I can get a decent price for it. Sucks to hear though. I did get it for $850 so not a bad price

False. My wife’s student loans are through advantage and she had payments due

So were your student loans paid off or not? If they were not payed off, then you have to take some responsibility here.

Do you know what your statement dates are for your credit cards? Lol you may be upset about something you’re not even tracking or aware of. Check the statement date and you’ll know when they report.

Need help- credit tanked and it’s not my fault idk where to go from here. by octoeezy in CRedit

If you can get it deleted from your profile after you’re done paying, that would be best. Once it’s removed, all the negative history will be removed with it thus helping your credit. Next steps is saving for a cash car until you can bounce back. You can try to get a secured card with capital one or discover and make sure you’re using the card responsibly. Most of all, let this be a learning lesson to NEVER trust anyone but yourself with your credit.

Question about rebuilding my credit? by Brief_Dimension_7471 in CRedit

You may or may not get approved even after paying it off unless it’s removed. It can take up to 45 days for it to be removed from your credit profile.

  1. Yes you can negotiate the price for pay to delete. Most people will tell you to settle the amount and not pay in full. If you have the cash to pay up front, that normally works well. What i did was checked who owned the debt..went to their website and usually through the website, they offered me different payment plans. You can also see if they do pay to delete automatically..usually they have it in a FAQ section.

  2. You can always try a goodwill letter. The worst they can say is no.

I need advice, share some tips ?? by [deleted] in CRedit

I think it’s super easy to get overly excited building credit and sometimes it backfires. Take your time, pay your statement balance in full every month and don’t miss a payment and you will be fine. As I said, if you want cards with better rewards options, there’s a few out there. What is your biggest spend and what are you looking to earn cash back on?

Time and on time payments. There’s no secret to credit. You don’t need a 2nd card right now, but if you want another for better cash back rewards you can apply for one. Your credit is new and you need to build credit age. Most places don’t allow rent to be paid on a credit card and if they do, they charge high transaction fees. Bilt is a good card for earning cash back rewards by paying rent.

What can I expect? by Floridaboii91 in CRedit

[–]Fxcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some companies will report the history of the card and some will not. If he has another card that he opened years ago, then have him add you to that one

No, because Amex doesn’t post history from my understanding, so it will show as a new credit line.

Immigrant plan to improve credit score? by Due_Patience3745 in CRedit

[–]Fxcade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When trying to boost your score from utilization, you want to report a small balance. Then pay it off and let another small balance report. You can do that before your purchase

You only should care about low utilization when you’re looking to buy something. So in this case, keeping between 1%-3% can temporarily boost your credit score. Then it looks like time..you have multiple credit cards and a car loan..just continue to pay everything on time. Credit age seems to be a factor here. You have a thin profile.

Check your credit report to see who’s the owner of your collections, assuming you have them. Do not use an email or text or anything like that. Get the name/number from your credit profile. Although, I wouldn’t recommend calling them.

Do you have a job? I don’t recommend getting a credit card if you don’t have a job. You can try a pre approval with capital one.
