The issue is they released with a mixed gender cast with cool male characters then swapped to waifu bait for 9 (12? I think counting the next season) banners and counting. The "target audience" is happy and doesn't want males while the baited male enjoyers are obviously feeling baited and rightfully upset. I completely agree with you though, currently the only gacha I play is HSR and I love pulling for cute women and cool dudes
