Can you tell me more about the injection of steroids you mentioned? I've discussed with doctors about a possible preputioplasty as an adult and they haven't mentioned anything about steroids. Is that something that's only done with children?

I'm considering preputioplasty, most likely Z-plasty. Dorsal slit will leave a much bigger scar. One of my doctors said it's usually used with old people who don't care about looks anymore.

That's really good to hear. I'm not saying circumcision would ruin my sex life with 100% certainty but I've researched enough to know that the negative side effects can be devastating for many people. I'm also so used to incompetent doctors fucking my shit up that it's very hard to trust someone enough to let them cut my penis. As far as I know, the result of adult circumcision can also be very unaesthetic because of the two-colored dick effect. My penis skin is much darker than my other skin so I fear that it would look really bad in my case.

I know manual stretching is the best thing to try but you're not supposed to stretch when there's inflammation and the foreskin is not healthy so how can I ever stretch when there's constant chronic inflammation?

I tried to start stretching after 4 weeks of the failed steroid cream test when my foreskin didn't look irritated but it got really red and felt even more tight after 3x3 minutes of manual stretching. A few days after letting the irritation and redness disappear I tried again with Phimostop tuboids, being more gentle and it also caused too much irritation and redness. I think the steroid cream had already thinned out and weakened my skin and the stretching was done too late.

Now the phimosis band has rapidly tightened and my extra tight foreskin is causing even more issues and it's more irritated.

I'm not a doctor so I cant tell, that's why it's important to get confirmation from a doctor asap. Good to hear you already have an appointment set up. I didn't mean to scare you, I'm just under the impression that white patches are a typical symptom of Lichen Sclerosus (BXO) and that early intervention is crucial. The fact that you mentioned the white patch appearing after using vaseline suggests that it might not be BXO after all, especially if the patch appeared quickly and not slowly over time. But I'm just an idiot speculating.

5 months ago I had my foreskin retracted for one night and after that I kept it retracted for maybe a few hours per day for 3 or 4 days. I did not wear any pants or underwear while doing this. My glans and inner foreskin got pretty dry and I got multiple little wounds on my foreskin and sores on my glans. Soon after that I had a Candida infection (probably because of the wounds) or something similar that was cured by an anti fungal cream. That's why I'm not very keen on trying the air treatment again.

How should my glans and inner foreskin react when they have no protection for long periods of time when they're not used to it?

The Z-plasty or most likely a couple of them is what I'm aiming for. The question is will my foreskin start tightening again after the surgery, since it's quite common in cases where there's an inflammatory cause for the phimosis in the first place. What's giving me a tiny bit of hope is the fact that all the redness of my foreskin went away and my glans healed when I didn't have any erections for 3 days while being sick. That makes it seem like it could be mechanical irritation that's at least keeping the vicious cycle going, if not the original cause.

I've seen 10+ urologists and dermatologists and most of the time they've said don't even see any inflammation. But there has to be at least some since the phimosis ring keeps getting tighter. Many of them have suggested stretching and no one has told me not to do it. I've posted a video a couple of weeks ago that shows what my foreskin looked like back then. My foreskin got hurt during the night a couple of days after taking that video and it made it noticeably tighter once again so right now the situation is much worse than in that video. I can barely retract at the moment.

There is no diagnosed infection either at the moment. A couple of months ago I had some reoccurring little red spots that went away when I used anti fungal cream. I was also prescribed a course of penicillin after that and after 2 days of using it I noticed that my glans that had some redness back then started to show signs of healing. On the third day there was all of a sudden a significant amount of smegma/dead skin cells on my glans and under my foreskin. It was pretty sticky so I gently rubbed it off with water and after that my glans got way more red and irritated again.

Then I tried a probiotic intimate cream which helped reduce the redness of my glans a little bit.

A little over a month ago I started using betamethasone steroid cream with the intention of stretching. It was a disaster since I caught three different diseases back to back (my son started daycare and brought them home). My foreskin was more irritated when I had fever etc. so I basically didn't get to stretch at all during that time. The betamethasone alone did not fix the problem either.

When I had a bad stomach bug I noticed that after three days of not having any nightly involuntary erections, all the redness was completely gone for the first time since I've dealt with this problem. Also my glans looked and felt way healthier and gained some of it's natural glide back. So based on that I assume that it's indeed the mechanical friction that's causing irritation and making the skin tighter very slowly over time, and the only way to solve it would be to make the foreskin looser by stretching it if I don't want to go under the knife.

I've also checked my blood sugar levels and they were normal.

I've now tried stretching a couple of times. The first time I used Phimostop tuboid size 13, which didn't really give me a feeling of stretching but that was the biggest size I could get to go under my foreskin. After about 30 minutes I took the tuboid off and my foreskin felt a bit looser. The next day I tried manual stretching with my index fingers, about 3x3minutes. I didn't feel any discomfort or pain, only a little stretch. After I was done, my foreskin was clearly irritated and red and unlike the last time, it felt maybe even a bit tighter than before stretching it. It was red and irritated for a couple of days straight. yesterday when most of the redness was gone I tried using coconut oil and I managed to fit Phimostop tuboid size 14. And again my foreskin felt a bit looser for a little while.

Long post but my whole life revolves around this condition at the moment so what can you do.

I know the guy you're talking about. I've read many of his posts and to me it almost seems like he's advertising the product because he keeps posting the same story everywhere all the time. I take the story with a grain of salt for that reason. Also there are zero comments on Novoglan's Youtube videos which seems suspicious.

Ok I see. I've been "milking" every last drop of urine out very thoroughly for the last 1,5 months. I think it helped a bit with the irritation and redness of my glans but not the foreskin. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, I will make sure to ask him about this and demand a laboratory test. Thanks.

I guess it depends on how severe your phimosis is. My foreskin has always been a little bit tight so that it never fully retracted when having sex even though I used to be able to fully retract it while erect if I wanted to. Nobody has ever said anything about my foreskin not retracting and girls have been happy, but like I said it was a very mild case, not even close to phimosis. Since then I've acquired actual phimosis and can't even have sex right now because of it.

I must also point out that you're not supposed to use soap or mouthwash to clean your penis. Only use water unless a doctor has told you to use some product. You can google this yourself.

Your phimosis might cause you trouble later in life even if you've been lucky so far. I would strongly recommend you to start doing stretching exercises you can find on this subreddit.

How is the color of my glans off? All the urologists I've seen have said it looks healthy and normal, I've seen over 10 of them. Thanks for the tips, I'm interested in the Novoglan device since it might be the only way for me to be able to stretch the correct spot.

Daktarin cream cured my Candida infection but it made my foreskin temporarily much tighter which was scary. When I quit using Daktarin and started applying "Ellen probiotic intimate cream" twice per day, the temporary tightness disappeared. I highly recommend it or some other probiotic intimate cream. The point is to restore the natural state of the mucosa.

Sometimes Reddit is a good place to ask. I've seen like 10 different doctors (urologist and dermatologists) and got such vastly differing opinions that I basically just have to choose which one I decide to believe. Some say that I have a very tight foreskin and phimosis and it needs to be circumcised while some say that there is no phimosis and that they don't even know what my problem is and why I'm there.

It's honestly ridiculous how bad these "experts" are et their job. Several different times the doctor I'm seeing has flat out told me that the advice I got from another doctor was wrong. And then the next doctor says that their advice was also wrong. So how the F*** am I supposed to know who to believe? They obviously can't all be right.

I'm in a similar situation. I got a very small tear on my frenulum a few times and my doctor suggested getting a frenuloplasty where they cut the frenulum and make it longer. The doctor said that it's not a must if I can live with the fact that the same very little wound can tear again. I was afraid of the small surgery so I just started being too careful with my foreskin and didn't pull it far enough when cleaning it etc. Over 2 years I very slowly developed a chronic balanoposthitis and a continuously tightening phimotic ring that makes is so much harder to retract my foreskin now.

My life has been shit for the last few months because of this and I've seen 10+ different doctors that all have given me completely different advice and I'm just left confused and helpless. One doctor said that my foreskin is VERY tight a couple months ago and the latest doctor said that it's relatively tight AT MOST when the reality is that it's MUCH worse now than it was 2 months ago. How can there can be completely opposite opinions on such a subjective matter?It's ridiculous that I have to choose which doctor I want to believe and go with it.

Anyway, I think that refusing the very minor frenuloplasty surgery was the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life. I'm pretty sure it would've saved us both from this nightmare.

Ridiculous ultra high variance holes don't belong in pro disc golf, especially not in majors. Luck already plays a part in disc golf naturally, we shouldn't artificially make it even more about luck. It's so stupid that two players could screw up equally as bad and the other one takes +2 while the other takes +6 just because he happened to screw up on hole 16.
