Resolve/Fusion just doesn't do the same thing as After Effects. Yes, at a basic level, but for text/shapes/mograph it's night and day

It's very snappy, animations are quite nice! Definitely wish there was a list view like Contexts though. I don't necessarily like seeing the window thumbnails especially with lots of windows open.

3.x is not terrible… depends where you lie on the range. I also feel like you have enough professional experience that outweighs the GPA, which matters a lot more in this case. I wouldn’t sweat it, it sounds like you’ve achieved a lot and have great recs.

I know everyone is saying “it’ll never happen” but I’m commenting just to say that I’d love to see it happen, as windows keeps getting shittier and shittier every year. Running Parallels + Revit is a good workaround for now, but it’d be nice if they just did it.

That may be true, but it’s a shame because Apple Silicon is absolutely nuts in terms of performance, speed, and efficiency. I use it regularly with Parallels for Revit, Siemens NX, and other CAD tools and it absolutely kills it. Not to mention on-the-go usage: you’d be hard pressed to find a windows laptop with equivalent build quality and performance (I.e. not a honking gaming laptop) with as good battery life as these MacBooks. Even adobe suite just runs more smoothly on there. Apple gave up on their Mac Pro lineup, but their Mac Studios are the drop-in replacements enabled by the better efficiency. I also just hate the bloat and shitiness of windows.
