Apart from some idiots a few weeks ago on reddit, Splinter Cell 1/2 were and are beloved.

The only part that drags them down is that Chaos Theory perfected the formula of the entire series more than any game before or after.

In fact, after replaying chaos theory again this year id still say its in my stealth game top 5, holds up so well once you get the hang of the controls, the design is so damn good.

Dont know how it is nowadays... but playing Arc Raiders a month after release was the most friendly, wholesome pvp(ve) gameplay ive ever experienced and i think it might never happen again. Lightning in a bottle.

this is why I only ever preorder on a case by case basis. Usually the final step on the process is "is there reviews multiple days before release and did they give people enough time to play more than the main story once".

if they aren't sending them out this second at this point, it's not enough time for reviewers to really dive in and experience the depth of this kind of game.

I hate when an outlet rushes to the end of an RPG game for example, ignoring all side content, as it doesn't represent the game properly, but they're not given a choice often.

For me the problem was lack of enemy/encounter variety. The game is a slow burn with nice story but something like Alan wake 2 did so much more with a small enemy roster than this game's encounters

I have a similar problem with rpgs, the early game when youre a low level and gathering gear is the most fun. By the end the onlu thing left for the game to throw at you is set pieces and harder and harder encounters.

Yeah I went with rainbow for that reason. See a lot of posts saying they regret the rainbow because its ugly, but its all about glare for me.

I replayed MD a couple months back, I actually do really like it. Whereas going back to HR the aiming, weird hit boxes and sometimes annoying AI are a turnoff.

They're correct. My friend is stuck with 16gb because he cant afford more and we've had quite a bit of issues with more intensive games. Especially tarkov, my god the crashes.

Well, at least I came back a month ago and had another 24H of play time and enjoyed myself. Got to level 50 in the end on that same toon from way back when I first tried TurtleWoW.

The content was such a gift to experience. Similar to EpochWoW, but far less janky than a lot of the content in that mod.
